"The gym was pretty basic but better than nothing . Dumbells upto 25kg. Two treadmills and a couple of stationary bikes. Also a couple of weight machines. Breakfast was good."

"The room was clean, a perfect stop for an overnight stay. Ample parking, we had dinner here too and it was a very tasty carvery and good value."

"The hotel was ideally located for a local family event. We had a warm welcome by very friendly staff. The room was spacious, very clean with a comfortable bed and wonderful shower (I don’t personally like shower curtains but that was a tiny negative). We enjoyed an excellent meal in the evening, had a good nights sleep and a very tasty breakfast. For the price we paid, we really couldn’t fault our stay. We will definitely use this hotel again."

"On first seeing the hotel in person I was a bit apprehensive as from the outside it appears very run down. Free parking onsite is a bonus. We received a warm welcome at reception, room was clean and had everything we needed, we slept well. Breakfast was great. Overall great value for money."

"We enjoyed our overnight stay at the weathervane. It was very good value for the money it cost. We had the breakfast included option and we're glad we did. The staff were very helpful indeed. We decided to have our evening meal there as well. We both really enjoyed the food which was cooked perfectly and the prices were very much cheaper than we pay in Essex."
