Bed and Breakfast in Urra

"We stayed here during a trip to Thirsk for our friend’s wedding and it was brilliant. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and we had everything we needed. It’s located right in the town square so the location was perfect. Would definitely recommend to others!"

"Staff were so welcoming! My room allocation was quickly sorted. Breakfast was great! Staff couldn't have done more and I really enjoyed it. I didn't use the bar, but it seemed busy. The bed's mattress was very firm. All linen was beautifully crisp and clean. Fluffy, quality white towels. Shower was easy to use and lovely and hot with no problems. Could have done with towel rail in the bathroom (in bedroom) and a bedside shelf/table (one at bed bottom). This is a huge, very old hotel which could do with a refurb. But is blatantly well-loved and was very busy! It's a stone's throw from the beating heart of the town. There isn't a hotel car park and parking wasn't too easy. I would return. Don't expect 'The Ritz', but know you'll have a very warm welcome with lovely folk ."

"Good hotel in excellent location. Room was very hot but no way of controlling temperature other than opening window which led to noise. Breakfast was excellent. Disappointed that pool didn’t open until 8:00 a.m. "

"Wonderful stay, definitely recommend this hidden gem. The room was spotlessly clean. The jacuzzi bath was huge plenty of room for 2, truly relaxing. The shower was perfect. Our room had an outdoor seating area which was perfect to sit out with wine and nibbles. An ice machine was available so you could fill your own ice bucket, there was a wine chiller in the room which was useful. Everything in this place was brilliant making for a peaceful, laid back luxury break."

"We stayed here for 2 nights when we attended a wedding. Great location with access to shops and restaurants. The hotel was clean with good bathroooms and comfy beds. Breakast was included and it was tasty and fresh. We are vegan and it is the best hotel breakfast we have had. But the thing that elevates it is the staff. So helpful, attentive, and friendly. A great stay."
