Bay Landing San Francisco Airport Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Spent one night at this hotel with family as a break between flights from Hawaii to UK. The shuttle bus (not pre booked) was to time and picked us up with no problems from SFO. Location of hotel is right in front of the bay opposite the runways so great if you are a bit of a plane geek (like me and my daughter) - make sure you book a rear room overlooking the bay! Not many eateries around so we ordered in dominos to deliver as it was 10 pm when we arrived and they let us eat in the lobby. Breakfast was superb - plentiful and nice touches such as fresh waffles. Overall couldn’t fault it"

Executive Inn & Suites Embarcadero Cove

"The staff was friendly, inviting, helpful, and professional. The room was spotless, quiet, and the bed was comfortable; pretty much what you’d want in a nice hotel room. The breakfast was surprisingly subpar though. The oatmeal was watery (a fellow guest told me that the previous day the oatmeal was much better), and my wife thought that the scrambled eggs, biscuits, and gravy were all rather flavorless. The coffee I got was warm but not hot; the other machine dispensed hot coffee. The waffle was very tasty. The other improvement we’d suggest would be the pillows. They were thick and really lumpy, in the sense that the filling wasn’t smooth and unnoticeable. Instead, it felt like they were filled with thick cotton balls. We’d never experienced such a thing. We didn’t mention it to the front desk because we returned to the hotel late after an event and were already tired and in bed before we realized how weird the pillows were. All in all we’d stay at the hotel again, but would have a back-up plan for breakfast and maybe bring our own pillows."
