"There’s a nice pool and jacuzzi though I didn’t use either as I only slept there one night. My room was very big and immaculate.
I LOVED that it had both microwave and very useful fridge with drawer for vegetables and a functional freezer! The hotel is also next to a Safeway but I only discovered this as I was leaving. Perfect for families I think!"
"We arrived at the hotel and unloaded all our luggage in our room. I didn't notice right away, but I eventually caught this exposed, bare wiring sticking out from under the light fixture. I had my 4 year old in the room at the time clicking all the light switches on and off. I'm no electrician but I'm pretty sure if this wire was live, my toddler could have been SHOCKED.
I brought this up to the front desk along with pictures and they apologized, but told me they were unable to comp or discount our room because we booked through Expedia. They moved us to another room, and offered some drinks as a way to apologize.
I brought it up with Expedia, who called the hotel on my behalf, and they were told by the front desk once again that a discount was not happening despite this safety concern. That we already were moved, and that they don't know what else was expected. Expedia is escalating.
Needless to say I'm pissed. I'm waiting for some accountability from someone. I wanted to make sure before checking out that it was fixed, and the front desk once again tried to assure me "it wasn't live" (how could you know without a volt meter?) and "it wasn't even really hazardous" which infuriated me a bit more. I DARE you to touch a random bare wire with your bare hands without checking it with meter. Tell me how that works out for you. Not necessarily the front desk person's fault. Just don't assert that something is safe when it comes to electrical safety."
"We always stay here when we travel to Ashland. Spacious rooms, walking distance to downtown, Tesla charging on property, decent hotel breakfast and a lively garden to look out on by the creek."
"Was a very cute spot to stay the night at. I like that they had all the amenities. Mini fridge, hair dryer, iron, microwave, because I really needed to warm up left overs and my baby's water for his formula. Breakfast area could use some work. Waffle maker was a bit troublesome. And there wasn't any cream cheese for bagels and no eggs sadly and the juices were lukewarm from the machine."
"Good clean room. Very basic. No amenities but good value for someone traveling alone that just needs a place to sleep.
Good location about 8 minutes from downtown."
"We stayed here because it was in downtown Ashland, which was convenient for our planned activities. Our room, while on the top floor and with a nice view, was not as clean as expected. There was popcorn clearly visible on the floor near the sofa from a previous guest; there were visible stains on the carpet; there were coffee(?) stains on the night stand surface; the only glass in the bathroom was smudged and obviously not washed. The coffee maker and the provided "pods" were not compatible so no coffee in the am unless we trecked down to the mezzanine level and carried it back up.
Also, the only vent in the room/bathroom was over the toilet area and blew gale-force wind into the bath and shower area. Not comfortable! Won't stay ever again."
