We visited the area to see family. The property front desk clerk was professional and friendly. This property is perfect for those that want to enjoy the area and not be room bound. Bed was comfortable even if some items in the room are dated. It is reflected in pricing so I am not critical. The room was clean and orderly with small fridge (but larger than other places I have stayed) and microwave. You can see they are updating items as needed (newer toilet for example). Plenty of room for suitcases and clothing. Heating unit was efficient. We checked out too early for breakfast but what a nice bonus! I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this property again.

Property is convenient for the Truckee area. Nothing fancy, but comfortable. The staff person in the evening was nice and even directed us to her parking spot when we came back late our second night. Other staff were not friendly and I was given the impression that I was in the way. Overall, I recommend this property.

Parking is a bit of a hassle but overall really great inn. Really easy check in process and really nice staff. Breakfast is nothing too fancy but filling nonetheless. Price is a bit on the steeper side but it’s expected being so close to the resorts.

Overall was okay. The issue I had was the heating. The heater doesn't have a temperature control, like to couldn't set to X degree and hope for heater do it automatically. It's either turn on get hella worm or turn off get cold. Other than that it was fine.

If I can give 0 star, I will do it. This was the worst experience that I ever had with any hotels in the Truckee area. We checked-in in the afternoon and realized that there were no staff on duty after 10pm (didn't know it while booking). I travelled with my 6-years old son. Around 10:10PM, after my son fell asleep, I went to my car to pick some personal stuff. But when I came back to my room, the room key didn't work. My nightmare started at that moment. I called the emergency number on the list. The emergency number was a third party which could only send text messages to the hotel staff. I was in endless waiting and push around by different staff member in the next three hours. During these conversations, I begged them if they could let me back in the room before they sorted out their internal processes. 1. my son was in the room by himself 2. The heater in the room was on but the room has no thermal control. 3. I was so concerned about his safety. But nothing happened and it seemed no one from the hotel CARED. When I got back in the room after 1AM (the key was in the locker all the time but they didn't give me), my son was dehydrated. I decided to cancel my trip the next day due to this incident. Cut down my 3 days trip to one day. The worst part is that after I complained several times and asked specifically management conversation after the incident, no one from the hotel ever reached out and explained to me what had happened.

It’s a basic hotel and was fine for what I paid with booking midweek in advance. Peak rate is $300 p/n and at that it’s way spendy for what it is. With such a high turnover during the winter there was a constant strong smell of commercial cleaning products which was a bit intense. They don’t make up your room while you’re staying so if you need fresh towels or whatever you have to ask. All in all it was ok but I couldn’t go so far as to recommend it. Bed was decently comfy but the pillows were miserable. Shower worked fine. Heater was effective. It served its purpose. Breakfast, ok if you’re not fussy.

As a ski getaway convenient. But very small rooms without space to hang your ski jackets and pants. Our room was recently renovated but the hallways and staircases are small narrow and could use some TLC.

Very nice staff and nice accommodations all around. The pillows were uncomfortable, but otherwise it was a very pleasant stay. What the continental breakfast lacked in variety it made up for with a great coffee machine!

Good clean room and nice staff. I like the automated coffee machine to get my long cappuccino with some oranges and apples for breakfast. Only downside is the room doesn’t have a closet to hang our ski jackets. Just one small cubby side hanger drawer with the microwave and fridge. Maybe an hanger on the wall would have helped. :) Otherwise, great room that’s close to Palisades and Northstar.

Amazing place to stay
We came with our dog and had a great stay. We'll definitely be back. The property's breakfast is solid pre-skiing food and grab-and-go friendly too. The coffee machine also does hot water, hot cocoa etc. and is available (and free) all day long-- a huge plus, thank you!

There is no elevator, our bathroom has mold and years worth of dirt on the base boards. It looks like they just did a horrible attempt at an update but only a few things, the rest is still horribly in need of repair or replacement. The breakfast is just packaged muffin and a coffe machine.

Nice motel-style inn. A couple issues include no coffee in the room and a long line for a coffee maker in the lobby, an overly soft bed, and the hot tub/sauna are closed for maintenance- unsure if ever to re-open. Location is good though and rooms are clean.

Old, need urgent renovations. Location & Coffee machine was good. Dirty carpet everywhere. Breakfast is just frozen muffins, oats and juices. Rooms were small hardly any space to walk or any storage. In our room heater/ac unit is ancient probably 80s. 3 floors but no elevator so be ready to carry your luggage if you got 3rd floor room.

The inn was quaint. No issues with the room or parking. Staff was friendly. The facility is old, atmosphere is kind of dead. Overall, not bad for the price compared to much pricier resort stays.

The front desk check in lady was so sweet and kind. She is amazing at her job and able to keep track of who is next and keeping everyone (even people on the phone) informed. Great place to crash last minute and not break the bank! Beds are cozy, room is fully equipped.

It's a bit run down and can use updating. Although advertised on Hotels.com as "housekeeping available on request", there was no housekeeping available, and we were told that we would need to ask for towels at the reception desk and take them up each day. Breakfast was prepackaged waffles, bagels, and oatmeal packets. No closet and very little storage for clothes in room.
