"The Pono Kai is always nostalgic because my grandma used to have a condo here. This rental unit was clean and had a great view. Easy access to the pool and parking lot. It had lots of fans which was good since the bedroom didn’t have AC though the living room did so it was nice and cool. They had beach chairs and laundry soap. Plenty of nice towels- bathroom and beach towels that were new-feeling and fluffy. Also, it had pumps with soap for the kitchen and bathroom- nice touch. My only complaint was that it only came with half a roll of paper towels and no extra, and only one extra toilet paper which wasn’t enough for our stay so we had to buy more of each. An extra roll of paper towels and a couple more toilet papers would have been appreciated. You can at times hear the people walking above but I’ve stayed at many different units at the Pono Kai and that is always the case. The blinds in the bedroom and screen in the living room need repair but that wasn’t any big deal in impacting our stay. Overall, I would definitely stay at this unit again and definitely recommend it. "
