"Overall the hotel is very good. A large open plan area greets you on entering with a bar area and reception. There are lifts and stairs to the various floors. The staff we met were all very pleasant and welcoming Our room, 908, was on the 9th floor, an king executive room which gives access to the executive lounge, where there's free coffee and soft drinks, and free alcohol and nibbles at certain times. We used the pool which has a sauna and steam room, all very clean and warm. There's a gym here as well. Breakfast offers the usual cooked buffet, all very acceptable. The dining room is on the penthouse floor with windows all around displaying an amazing view over Plymouth. Our room was good, the bed was comfy and a floor to ceiling window giving a fantastic view. Look closely and you might see small details of age but being such a large hotel, maintenance must be tricky!! One thing to be aware of is the car park, it's VERY tight and has protective kerbs to stop you hitting the wall, if you have a large car you'll have fun, you've been warned!! We had a lovely stay, we'd come again. "

"Facilities are absolutely amazing… great gym, sauna steam room and pool. Room was a bit tired. Food really let it down. Evening meal food wasn’t even Wetherspoons quality, but was expensive and the service was absolutely terrible. Breakfast however was great, and only waited 20 mins for poached eggs which was a bonus. Ate in the Golf Club cafe at lunchtime which was a complete disaster… not really helped by the rude food manager… DO NOT go over to eat there, unless you have 2 hours to spare and actually don’t want to eat what you ordered. We will not be back"

"The staff were excellent could not do enough for us. The property is beginning to look shabby in places, needs T.L.C. We had a lovely suite looking over the bay with a balcony, but I was very very disappointed that all the balcony doors were locked off so no one could open them. A sticker on the door says that it is waiting for maintenance. On enquiry the maintenance has not done for a very long time. I am a keen photographer which made the stay very disappointing."

"We had a really lovely time in the Spa and pool prior to our check in. Our room was great with a view over the golf course. We had a few drinks in the bar and a several games of pool. We extended our checkout to 12 noon, which cost an extra £20 which was expensive, but worth it to us. Overall a really great stay and we would go back for sure."
