I have never felt so unwelcomed as a guest. We checked in for 3 nights.
The first night was nice, the evening clerk gave us a nice room with a nice terrace (#9). However, the following morning, the (owner?) asked us "are you checking out? what room are you in?" We told her #9 and no, and she said "we have to move you because you didn't pay for this room". We were pretty sure we did... we were heading out to breakfast and she made us pack our things and move immediately to check other guests in at 12. She forced us to move to an inferior room (#15, without a terrace or windows), claiming that "we paid for a cheaper room". There are 2 room options: single (1 bed) or double (2 beds). We paid for a single and thought maybe there was an option with the terrace so didn't argue at that time and moved, forcibly, to room 15.
However, I checked the website, and the room we paid for is the SAME room that we stayed in! The evening clerk called the owner to ask, and she said "no they were always in the other unit" (#15). He checked the guest book and it showed that we were indeed in #9. She lied to him as well as to us.
Whatever I think of the location and hotel itself doesn't matter. I will never stay there again nor recommend anyone else stay there if they value guest service, even a little bit.
