The property and house are absolutely beautiful. The owner provided cable tv, board & kids games, and robes to use walking down to the GORGEOUS waterfront hot tub. The only thing that could improve this property would be better communication from the owner. Rather than trying to give verbal instructions to guests upon check in (which can result in things being misunderstood and more miscommunications), a guestbook or written set of information in the home would have been appreciated. It would have made our stay in Tofino even more wonderful.

Excellent Location, good value
Maintenance and cleanliness could be improved. It had minimal but acceptable amenities, the hot tub was nice but there aren’t any extra towels so it’s a bit awkward reusing bath towels. The location is very attractive, it’s a short walk into town and the views of the bay are nice.

Close to town and a world away
An easy 15 walk into the village of Tofino with it’s shops and restaurants but the home’s location on a tidal beach is quiet (except for the occasional seaplane taking off) and private. It’s a great home for a family with games for the kids and a wraparound deck to admire the view. There are two bathrooms but only one has a shower, the other a jacuzzi tub. It wasn’t a problem as there were only the two of us. Kevin is a very responsive host, a Tofino native with a wealth of local knowledge. He was there to welcome us and give us the tour. There were a couple of housekeeping issues that he took care of immediately for us. We enjoyed sitting down by the beach watching the full moon rise. The hot tub was the perfect vantage point for watching eagles fly overhead and shore birds hunting on the beach.

Such a beautiful spot. The kids loved exploring at low tide and it’s walking distance from all amenities Tofino offers. It was clean and beautiful and you can’t really beat the view.

Hot tub on the beach was amazing. The place needs some TLC. A really good cleaning and some new kitchen supplies. Kevin was helpful and knew a great deal about Tofino which made him a great host.

Pleasantly surprised
It was our first time staying in Tofino and we were there on a fishing expedition among friends. Kevin was very good at communicating with us and answered all questions in a timely manner. He gave us some good fishing pointers and we had a great time. This would be the first property we check out if we decide to go to Tofino again. Thanks again Kevin.

It was what we expected and worked out fine
The overall property was in decent shape and was as advertised. For the price you got pretty much what you paid for. Kevin the owner was a good host and made sure we had what we needed. The views were lovely and the location was really great. A 10 minute walk to downtown with all the amenities. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a shower and tub combo and another with a soaker tub. There are a few toys and games which was helpful for the kids. The weather was not very cooperative so we didn’t get to use other items on the property like boating, or fishing and as the hot tub was right on the ocean the wind didn’t make it very pleasant. I think if the weather was decent it would have been a spectacular experience playing on the beach. We would stay again.

Overall, this property was good however for the price we paid, we expected more. The location was amazing, an easy walk to town, and beautiful ocean views from the huge windows and deck. The hot tub and fire pit were also great. The kitchen was disappointing- well worn and in need of some upgrades for sure- didn’t need to be luxurious but it was very under stocked with what I would consider the basic pantry items one would expect in a rental. Overall it felt like we were provided with just enough of everything and had to be sparing. No extra towels, bedding or blankets. When I’m on vacation I don’t want to be constantly texting the owner asking for things and wished more had been there for our use. The fireplace was temperamental and didn’t work most of the week. Overall, it was a beautiful location , quiet and peaceful, but for the price, I hoped for more.

I listen to my guests and if they want something extra in kitchen, I do my best to provide. There are extra towels bedding and blankets pillows. You also have a washer and dryer for your use only. The fireplace thermostat works but you have to listen to my directions on how to use.

Perfect getaway
This was the perfect spot for an off-season Tofino trip. The big bay windows for storm watching and the hot tub overlooking the ocean made this VRBO ideal for our little group of four. Definitely would recommend it!

Great view. Comfortable and spacious.
A beautiful property. The place was even more spacious than it looked in the photos and had an amazing water view from the living room. A hot tub was a must for us and Kevin did not disappoint: it was nestled on the shore of the bay just a few feet from high tide. It’s a bit of a cold walk/run back to the house but it was worth it! We would love to return here with friends some time.

Beautiful home and property
Kevin’s large and comfortable home provided everything two couples needed and then some. On a tour of the property, Kevin made sure we knew how the hot tub operated, where we could watch the otters and eagles, etc. We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning.

Beautiful spot in Tofino
We loved our stay and Kevin was a great host. He had nice robes that we could wear out to the hot tub overlooking the bay. Lid needs replacing but tub itself was great. We cooked most of our meals there as it was better food than we saw at the few restaurants there. Lots of games in case the weather is bad- we were very lucky in that regard. Warm and sunny both days. Overall an enjoyable experience and the fresh crab delightful- thanks Kevin!

Don't hesitate
I stayed at Kevin's with my sister and elderly parents for 3 nights and it was perfect. The space was spotless, thoughtfully equipped (complete rain gear and rain boots for wandering the mud flats) and Kevin's offer of freshly caught crab for dinner was a highlight. If you are looking for "fancy", this isn't it. If you want to feel 'at home', don't hesitate to book with Kevin.

Fabulous holiday
What a great getaway to Tofino. This property is located in a quiet area close to Campbell St. The weather was unbelievable so we were able to take advantage of being outside most of the time. Kevin was helpful and available.

Perfect getaway!
Got exactly what we booked. No surprises! Kevin was a great host, responsive and flexible. He was very thoughtful. We have kids and he gave the kids some lollipops. Something he didn’t have to do but very nice he thought of the kids. Our kids were sad to leave. He lent us his kayaks which was a plus. We didn’t have to go and rent them somewhere else which would be additional costs and time having to book reservations etc. Easily walkable to city center but still be on the water and tucked away into a quite section. My husband and I were able to enjoy a glass of vine in the hot tub overlooking the inlet. And the views!!! What more can I say! Booking this property, the views and the location will definitely not disappoint. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to Tofino. Thanks Kevin for sharing with us your little piece of paradise!

Overall a great stay! Pros: - comfy beds, spacious rooms - fantastic location - walkable to town and close to drive to the beaches - beautiful view and the hot tub was amazing - great deck space to chill and have a drink - kitchen was okay, with everything needed, although the pans need to be updated Feedback: - the listing needs updated, as there was no laundry, and the second washroom did not have a shower. Minor inconvenience, but we did plan for both. - the listing also says non smoking and it had clearly been smoked in, as it did smell of smoke for the first day and half until the air cleared it out. - I agree with some of the comments about a deeper clean needed. It was surface clean and again, not an issue for us.

I am always updating no one smoked in my place that was medicine cream smell from guests before. There is a laundry room down the stairs.

Our adult daughter decided to join us on our trip to Tofino this year so we needed a larger vacation rental than the place we normally stay, and Kevin's quiet, secluded home was just the place. It's extremely spacious with room for everyone to relax and lounge around, the gas-burning stove in the living room was warm and cozy on a cool, rainy day, and the oceanfront hot tub was an absolute must-have for us. The view from it is absolutely incredible! Some of the amenities are showing their age and could use updating - the dishes were mismatched with chips and cracks, but otherwise the kitchen was fully equipped and ready for a big family feast. Some of the robes in the bedroom closets were frayed with holes in them, but the beds were comfortable with sleeping space for 6. Kevin was a gracious host who provided us with fresh crab from his traps and offered to take us fishing, boating to an island to go hiking, and the use of his kayaks. Then, when the hot tub wasn't up to standard, Kevin made things right. The next time we’re in Tofino we’ll definitely see if this home is available.

Amazing stay!!
You cannot beat this location!! Right on the ocean! Incredible view, lots to explore, walkable to town, and most importantly for coffee! Tons of room to stretch out. Looks so much better in person- open layout and views from most angles which was a nice surprise! Kitchen is fully stocked and even had a cappuccino machine! Brand new appliances, pillows and duvet covers. Will definitely go again and hated to leave! Our favourite was the hot tub right off the beach with panoramic views!! The deck has a covered and open area and a nice bbq we used! Kevin caught us crab too which was such a nice treat! Can’t say enough about it- absolutely love Tofino and was so happy we choose this location!!

This is possibly the best home rental I have stayed in. Really comfy beds and couches, and an open plan living space which felt bright and airy. Great kitchen and BBQ, puzzles and games for the kids, jacuzzi tub in the main bedroom..... Can't think of one bad thing to say! The hot tub view was absolutely incredible, even on grey cloudy days. On the last day we got to watch a bald eagle fly by the windows and that really topped it all off. I hope to visit again!

Location, location, location!
A well equipped spacious property but location is the key. Walking distance to town, yet very quiet and private (which matters to me and my wife) Tofino itself is spectacular, and we thoroughly enjoyed the various hikes, walks and beaches that we explored with our pup. For some reason, we had issues with the keypad to access the property (on arrival and throughout the stay). However, we did not raise the issue to Kevin and used the key instead, so no criticism of the host

if you gently pull on the door knob to take pressure off deadbolt the key pad works fine it's new.

Lovely Vacation
We really enjoyed our family trip to Tofino. The view and the hot tub were our favorite parts of the property. My only complaint is that the bathtub in the master bedroom was dirty and there was mold on the tub stopper. Overall it was a great property and we would stay there again.

Pros: proximity to town, beachfront location, hot tub, propane heating stove, comfy beds, spacious, reasonable price, friendly owner Cons: dirty and a bit run down- you get what you pay for (loud bathroom fan, splatters on walls, dust bunnies, rickety walkway to hot tub) Not sure if I’d stay again but it met the requirements for space and functional kitchen for me and my family.

One of the best Tofino stays we've ever had!
Kevin couldn't have been a better host for our family of 6. He was prompt in communicating ans gave us a very personable welcome while showing us what the suite had to offer. It is much more updated then the listing's photos and you definitely get the bang for your buck here! From the warm cozy environment with fireplace to the waterfront hot tub, we would definitely stay again. Kevin topped off our stay by surprising us with fresh caught crab! I only have positive memories from this vacation aside from putting all 4 of my children in one room and trying to get them to sleep 😂 Thank you so much, Kevin!
