The Fly Fish Flat

Exclusive and quiet (unless a rocket launches), upstairs apartment in downtown Titusville. The building is on the Indian River right across from the Kennedy Space Center's launch pads and two blocks from Titusville's common area with restaurants, shops and clubs. A large window in the living room will allow you to look down Indian River Avenue to Astronaut Memorial Park and Sandpoint Park. It’s a people (or dog) watchers paradise. Your flat is just South of Scobie Park and there are several more parks North toward the city marina. Although not directly on the river it is just down the stairs and around the corner to view launch pads and scheduled rocket launches from the Space Center.

Awesome place to stay!!!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Fly Fish Flat. We stayed three days. It was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. If you want to see a shuttle launch, there isn’t a better location! We will definitely stay there again!

This was the most welcoming comfortable rental we have ever stayed at. It was clean, decorated perfectly for this area. Reminded me of my late step father with all the fishing and nautical decorations throughout. It was spacious well appointed with so many amenities. The bathroom was wonderful with a fantastic walk in shower. The two bedrooms both had comfortable beds, TVs and ceiling fans. Communication with owner was fantastic and gave great suggestions for launch observation. Would absolutely stay there again and suggest it to all I know.

A Beautiful Getaway on the Space Coast

Space Coast Visit

We thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations. The apartment was large, comfortable, and charmingly decorated in seashore style. We loved the beautiful sunrises and wildlife viewing at the Halifax River. The Kennedy Space Center gantries and VAB were clearly visible from this location.

Excellent flat in great location

My wife and I had great stay at Capt. Mitch's lovely flat. Very well appointed, spacious, very clean, great kitchen, comfortable furniture and king bed.Location could not be better in historic Titusville and walking distance to several good restaurants. Capt Mitch very responsive to all questions. Will definitely be back.

Felt like home.

Great location: — for food (lots of great restaurants within a few blocks: BurgerRobs, Cafè Paradiso Bistro (New Orleans style), and multiple specialty bakeries…) —for comfort (the apartment was very comfortable with an especially nice kitchen … — thanks to our host’s alert, we were able to see a space launch from the parking lot at 1:30 am! Great view!

Bird watchers delight

Great location with quick easy access to Merritt Island bird watching and Canaveral Lakeshore. View of the Space Center and launch area was exceptional. Sunrise views of the water and the birds were great.Historic downtown Titusville was a few steps away with nice casual local dining options. The apartment was roomy, inviting, clean and comfortable. Well stocked with towels. Kennedy Space Center was also just a short ride away. The host Captain Mitch was helpful and pleasant.

This place is so adorable!

What an amazing place. It was spotless and I am very picky. It's much bigger than what the pictures show. It definitely has a nostalgic feeling with all the wood accents and I absolutely loved the smell! I'm a weird smell person and this was perfect. Great communication and Captain Mitch is very easy to work with. Thank you again!

Nice flat at great location

We very much enjoyed our stay. The flat was as promised and nicely accommodated us two adults and large dog. Being right on the Indian river, you can walk out the front door and watch dolphins, various shore birds and pelicans. Walking distance to park, downtown & restaurants. Short drive to Kennedy Space Center & Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge and Cape Canaveral beaches. Extra bonus was seeing a SpaceX rocket launch.

Great location and lovely home!

This property is in the best location for multiple events we wanted to do around Titusville. Easy walk to downtown to eat and drink. Right down the road from Parrish Park where we launched from to see bioluminescent while kayaking! Also got to see a Falcon 9 launch right out back. It's right on the water and has a great view of the launch pads across the water. The home itself is also very nice and clean. Beds and couches were comfy and everything was well taken care of. Definitely stay here is you want to go to space museums, kayak, and see launches in Titusville.

Unexpected charm

As we pulled up the building I thought it looked like a commercial building ( it was prior) so was unsure what to expect. However, the space was inviting, and decorated beautifully. We had one issue - the washer leaked water everywhere including spilling down into the lower apartment. The owner came as soon as he could and neighbors helped us clean up. Would recommend!

2025: A Space Odyssey

So, I am really hesitate to share this hidden little gem in Titusville, but alas, Capt. Mitch was far too gracious of a host to not let even know! Anyway, we made it down here to finally see a launchand explore the Space Coast and this was just the perfect home base. We would have liked to have enjoyed the place more as it was perfectly set up for a gateway on the inside. There is plenty to explore within walking distance as well as driving distance. We capped it all of by finally getting to see a launch on the last day of our trip. Do yourself a favor, if you want the perfect home away from home, than look no further, but most importantly when you come down...explore! and and and

Spring Weekend

Place was clean and nice. However, the check-in was a terrible experience. The keypad access directions were sent to us via text and through the VRBO app. Both were incorrect and it took 7 unanswered texts, 7 unanswered calls, several messages through the VRBO app and finally a call to VRBO customer service to get the owner to respond. This delay caused us to miss dinner plans with friends and was a terrible end to what had been a great day. Hopefully he will correct the access instructions for future renters.

Cute flat close Kennedy Space Center.

This was an adorable flat close to the Kennedy space Center. It was great to be able to do laundry and sleep well. The guest bedroom had a window facing the bay and we saw so many water birds in the morning, it was a great way to wake up! The apt is right next to a little green park area that is on the water. The park was getting new sod when we stayed, so we didn’t explore, but otherwise we would have. Internet was great. Apt has a full kitchen, so it was nice to be able to make our food and the grocery store was just a few blocks away. We had a little bit of trouble finding it because we came in after dark, but Captain Mitch was responsive by text and phone and we found the middle gate eventually. Note that there are two locks on the gate and sometimes people lock both instead of one, but easy to undo as long as you use both hands.
