"Upon arrival the apartment was in appalling condition to begin with the door was jammed, downstairs door to outside on the left wide open for people to come and go as they please. hair everywhere no lock on the window, smelled like cat urine, counters cookers everything unbelievably hygienic, 20 minutes in random men banging on the door and shouting. "Great location, accessible parking and easy-ish to find at night. Some amenities unavailable (espresso pods, toiletries, laundry soap, drying rack). Strangely, none of the tv remotes contained batteries. A/C was functional and the mattresses comfortable. Steep marble staircase made it a little treacherous for tiny kids. Breakfast downstairs was an easy win."

"Very nice room with a lovely view over the vines. Breakfast was wonderful and generous with everything homemade, served on the private terrace. A short drive to tavernas in the local villages, and only about 15 mins into Heraklion."
"Evva was really friendly and helpful, and our accommodation was spacious and comfortable.
We didn't like the fact that the shower was handheld only.
Also, the villa is located at the stop of a very steep hill, so although the town enter is not far away, it's not the easiest walk."
AGRIELIA VILLA FAMILY - FRIENDLY VILLA IN HERAKLION CRETE
10/10 Excellent
"The villa is beautiful. It is very well equipped with everything we needed - we really couldn't fault it! It's very spacious, with seating areas outside at the front, back and on the balcony, so there's always a sunny spot (or shady spot if you prefer!). The beds are very comfortable, and all the bedrooms have air conditioning so it's very pleasant even in the height of summer. The pool is a great size and provided so much fun for us all. Stelios, the host, is so friendly and helpful! The village of Sgourokefali is lovely and quiet, and the locals are very friendly. It has a very small minimart with basic groceries, and a bakery selling fresh bread and delicious fresh pastries, so you don't really need to leave the village! Episkopi is a 30 mins walk away where there are more shops including 2 larger supermarkets, a taverna and a lovely (and very reasonably priced) restaurant which we ate at quite a few times. We decided not to hire a car, but on the days we did leave the village, we used a taxi, which cost between 40-60 EUR each way to places like Knossos, Heraklion and Water City. It was easy to get a taxi at Heraklion airport when we arrived, even though there were 5 of us. The same taxi driver gave us his number and we messaged him on Whatsapp when we needed a taxi during our stay, and I'm sure others would do the same.We would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone!"
"The property we stayed in was new and has been built to a very high standard. All the rooms have a shower and seperate toilet. A sink is located in each room next to the door. The living areas are bright and clean with floor to ceiling windows/doors, open plan kitchen diner with lots of space with modern appliances. All rooms had smart TVs with apps so we could login into Netflix etc. The pool was fantastic as were the sun loungers with two bean bag chairs. Around the front of the property is a large courtyard featuring a large table & chairs with a gas BBQ for alfresco dining. Next to this there was a seating area for relaxing.
Cleaners visited everyday to empty the bins, including the toilet bins. Clean towels were provided for the pool as well as for the bathrooms. Sheets and towels were changed once a week.
A truly fantastic property that we thoroughly enjoyed.
Highly recommend these properties. "
"The views from the hilltop were spectacular and we loved sitting outside with our delicious breakfast. Our accommodation was spacious and comfortable and as the final days of our trip this was a perfect wind down. I would love to go back for longer"
