Hotel and my room were well maintained and decorated to a high standard. Location was close to public transport, and the main square and port area. My room looked out on the walkway which tops the old ramparts of the city. Opposite side also windowed looked out onto rooftops and hotel courtyard.

Great Location
Great location. A unique nice place to stay. The owner was very kind to show us how everything worked.
Very nice and clean hotel! Reception was closed but I got very detailed instructions before arrival on how to retreive my key and find the room. I was also gifted sweets and wine. I loved that the fridge was bigger than usual hotel fridges/minibar. I also got the breakfast, which was served at a nearby café, and I got my breakfast served at the table. Very cozy place and everything was tasty! Highly recommend this hotel!
Excellent room. Good location. The green light near the stairs is too bright at night.

We absolutely loved the property, the host was amazingly helpful, friendly and informative. The beds were great as was the shower, TV, common area. Overall it was the perfect place to rest at the end of my stay in Crete. A nice and quiet oasis in the middle of everything. It was a walk away from taxi stands and the center, close to the Archaeological Museum and restaurants by the port waterside. An excellent added bonus was purchasing the breakast nearby which was delicious. The best breakfast overall in Crete with traditonal specialites by far! Would love to return!
What a GEM!!!
Right in the center of everything but quiet and calm. So many great food options within steps of the front door. The decor and comfort are top notch!
Best of all is the OVER THE TOP kindness and commitment to his guest’s comfort and enjoyment by our host.
Short story - after our lovely stay @ Sartori we toured the coast. One night we arrived at our hotel deep in the olive groves on the north coast @ 11:00pm and were turned away with no other option available. What to do? We checked many hotels - no luck. In desperation I called Miron - ‘can you help?’ In 20 minutes he had secured a beautiful room for us in Agios Nikolaos through a friend! He stayed available until almost 01:00 when we finally found the house and settled in. Amazing Cretan hospitality!!!
Thank you, Miron!!

An absolutely wonderful hotel! We spent two weeks staying here and it was excellent.
When I booked this holiday, I did so at fairly short notice without looking in great detail at the different options. This hotel was affordable and looked good but given the price, I wasn't necessarily expecting much. I was so surprised at how beautiful it was.
The breakfast is served at a nearby cafe and the food is gorgeous. The square outside the cafe is coming towards the end of its renovations but it's clear it's going look brilliant. The staff there are attentive and exceptionally polite.
It's a small, quiet hotel on a backstreet meaning there is limited footfall. I'll be honest, when I initially arrived, the area street was a little rundown but this isn't atypical for Heraklion as an old city.
Don't be fooled - it's safe with easy access to town (15 min walk to the sea), beaches and the Palace of Knossos (3 min to a bus stop, 20-30min to the beach or Knossos). You can walk to anything you need very, very easily and there are plenty of eateries to go to nearby.
There is a fridge in the room plus a coffee maker and a kettle. The aircon is excellent (though with it being so hot and us being in the biggest room, it took a few hours to kick in intially on day one, but after this, the room kept the cool even if we turned the AC off when we were out and about).
Finally, Marazakis who owns the hotel has his own wonderful story. We had one issue with the AC and he was there with 10 min
