HOT TUB Plum Tree Cottage

Located just minutes from Sequoia National Park and Lake Kaweah.
The Sound of the south fork of the Kaweah River rushing behind this property makes this home tranquil and relaxing.
Although not far from town and next to neighbors, this home's unique setting feels both private and secluded.
Large oak trees provide plenty of shade and outdoor sitting areas make for an inviting spot to enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of coffee while taking in the view of the foothills.

Provided your timing is right, you can enjoy a ripe plum from one of our namesake fruit trees.
You may also see a deer, a covey of Three Rivers abundant quail population. One of the many flocks of wild turkey that visit the property, possums, bunnies, or a multitude of other wildlife native to the area. Also be on the lookout for the occasional black bear who's wandered down from the park to explore the lower elevation.
You may even receive a visit from the herd of cattle that often pasture behind the back fence.
On the main floor you'll find a queen bed and small bathroom.
Also a kitchen stocked with dishes for cooking.
You will also find a dining table for family dinners and a comfortable living room with plenty of space for family time.
Relax and enjoy one of our provided board games or simply watch television on our 50 inch smart TV.
We do provide cable and smart TV's in the living room and 2 bedrooms. As well as WiFi for personal smart devices.
Upstairs you'll find the second bathroom as well as 2 other well appointed bedrooms with queen beds.
A short drive into "downtown" Three Rivers will offer convenience stores, restaurants, breweries and bars as well as shopping for local arts and crafts. You will also find starting points for adventure tours such as river rafting and shuttles into the national park.
A short drive to Lake Kaweah and you'll find a marina with pontoon and fishing boats available for rent. Enjoy the day swimming, fishing or just let the boat lull you to sleep if a nap is in order from a previous days national park adventure.

Great location

Everything was great. House was clean and had plenty of supplies. AC worked perfect which was great because it was HOT outdoors! Only thing is that the house is old - some upgrades would make this house so much better. Updated bathrooms, interior doors, etc.

Relaxing refuge.

We loved our stay—the house was in the condition that matches the posting. Very clean, safe, and welcoming. We shopped before we got there so we cooked for every meal and found all that we needed in the kitchen. We visited Kings Canyon and Sequoia on different days while we were there; it was easy to get to/from both parks from the house. The last night we enjoyed the jacuzzi and hung out on the patio. It was great! No complaints, really. We contacted the host once for something really minor and she got right back to us via the app. Thanks for a great and welcoming stay.

Great Property

This was a great property for our visit to Sequoia National Park. The property was very clean and well appointed. It was even better than the photos. I enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch in the morning for breakfast, listening to the nearby river. It was just a couple miles from several restaurants, groceries, and gas. The check-in process was very easy. We had a bear visit us (outside the fence) on our last morning. Although the house is indeed 15 minutes from the entrance to Sequoia National Park, most of the hiking trails are an hour away on a very steep, curvy road. But this is the case for all properties near the park. Overall we were very happy with the property, the location, and our stay.

Charming

My son said that the place was charming, and I couldn't agree more. The place was clean, quiet, well stocked, great water pressure. It was almost like glamping, emphasis on the glam. Would 100% stay here again!

A little too warm

The property was nice And secluded. When we first got there we encounter a bear going through the trash but it quickly disappeared once he heard Our car. I contacted the property owner and told her what had happened and Astor if she could send someone to pick up the mess and she offered to do it herself that same day. Their house was nice and clean and the rooms were nice and roomy. They only issue during our stay was that the house was hot even though we had an AC going on. We tried to lower the thermostat to make the house a little bit cooler but for some reason it wouldn’t let us so the house kept being warm. We don’t know whether the AC wasn’t working properly or if the owner was maneuvering the AC thermostat. Other than that Our stay was nice, we only use the house during the night to eat and sleep. The host was very responsive whenever I contacted her And this was very helpful.

15min from sequoia entrance

Shelbi was very easy to communicate through text the whole time we were there. The property is accurately described through the listing. It is about 15min to the sequoia national park entrance and about 5min or so from the restaurants and markets of three rivers. Their were a lot of bugs and critters as it did say that in the listing so just be prepared and bring bug spray and citronella. It kind of added to the outdoorsy feel of the area. Overall the house served its purpose: place to stay, sleep, shower and relax after a long day.
