Chic Historic Cottage in the Heart of 3 Rivers - voted Best Vacation Rental 2015

Maile's Cottage is an historic landmark in the quaint township of Three Rivers. Maile's Cottage affords you incredible accessibility to the main entrance to Sequoia National Park, just a 10 minute drive. Plus, you have the convenience of being able to walk to local restaurants and stores including a coffee shop, frozen yogurt shop, Sierra Subs, Three Rivers Brewery, and a local market all just a stone's throw away. And - you are welcome to bring your family dog with you on your vacation.

The owners have lovingly restored and upgraded this charming cottage to provide modern amenities and conveniences while maintaining the original architectural integrity. You will be delighted with the stylish uncluttered interiors and carefully selected vintage furniture and chic decor, all created by a professional Interior Designer whose specialty is boutique hotels.

The spacious living room has an original iron stove and wood burning fireplace, comfortable leather sofas, large flat screen with Blu Ray player and internet for downloading movies and accessing Netflix (not connected to cable or satellite). You will need to bring your password. There is also a large selection of DVD's. The kitchen overlooking the private rear garden features granite counter tops, farm sink, and quality appliances. Adjoining the kitchen is a dining room with vintage wood dining table and seating for up to 6 people. There is also a bright and sunny breakfast area with large sliding glass doors opening onto the rear garden.

The outdoor living environment is equally enchanting. Relax or dine in the large private rear garden which features a gas BBQ and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy al fresco dining. Sip a glass of wine under the old olive tree in the front courtyard while watching the sun set beyond the peaks of the Sierra foothills.

Accommodations on the ground floor comprise a master suite with a king size bed, large closet, and glass sliding doors opening onto a private patio. The modern master bathroom has twin vanities, a toilet, and a walk-in shower with river pebble floor.

The other ground level bedroom features a brand new King bed and closet.

A family bathroom downstairs features a pedestal vanity, toilet and shower bath combination.

Upstairs is a huge loft-style bedroom with a queen size bed, a full size bed, and a twin bed. Because it can get pretty warm up there, we have installed (Aug 2025) a ductless mini split which affords quiet and efficient cooling. This is in addition to the whole house
central air conditioning and heating.

The experience of staying in a super chic historic cottage while enjoying one of America's great national parks will make for a vacation you will never forget.

Cozy and Great Location

Maile’s Cottage was cute and cozy and had all the amenities we needed. You can’t beat the location 6 minutes from Sequoia National Park. The house was super clean and we loved sitting out on the patio in the evenings.

Stayed here with my wife and adult daughter and son. We loved it. Very cozy, vintage, spacious, clean, and everything provided for. A great place to RELAX. Several great restaurants, bars, and shops very close by, some you can walk a block to. Perfect for Sequoia. We also did King's Canyon and Yosemite from here. The windy country drive to King's Canyon was something else. Loved all the parks.Superb communication from the host. Would definitely recommend.

Three Rivers/Sequoia National Park Getaway

The house was super cute, comfortable and well appointed. It is centrally located in Three Rivers steps away from the shops, restaurants and local brewery and minutes away from Sequoia National Park. It's also pet friendly and has a large, fenced yard. We had a blast and will be recommending to friends and family.

A SWEET CLEAN COTTAGE NEAR A POWERFUL NATIONAL PARK!

A charming home close to Sequoia NP in Beautiful Three Rivers

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Miele's cottage during our visit to Sequoia National Park. The cottage is very well appointed, and Robin's attention to detail is unmistakable. This is a vintage home with cosy comfort not too far from Sequoia National Park.

We really enjoyed our stay in Three Rivers. The house is very close to the Sequoia National Park entrance. The house was very clean and the backyard was perfect for our mini daschund.

Clean comfortable home with great character

This was a perfect location for us to use as a base to explore Sequoia National Park. The beds were very comfortable and the cheesecake was awesome after a long day of travel. Robin does a great job!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The cottage was perfect for the 6 of us girls. We had plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was well supplied, the beds wonderfully comfortable (something of a rarity at VRBOs in my experience). I wholeheartedly recommend Maile's Cottage.

Charming Cottage in Three Rivers

We enjoyed our stay at this nicely decorated historical cottage! The location was convenient for dining and sightseeing, and we enjoyed the patio area in the evenings. The house was clean and well stocked. We also appreciated being able to bring our dog. We would stay here again if we returned to the area and would recommend the property to others!

The location is perfect for seeing Sequoia and Kings Canyon Parks. Kathy loved the little things n the house that make the stay feel like a home. It was very hot during the day, yet the air conditioning kept pace. Very comfortable, would recommend highly.

There’s plenty of small details that make Maile’s cottage worthwhile. From the welcoming messages to the quality hardware, a relaxing space by the fire that will inspire family moments to cherish. Don’t come looking for square footage, but for well spaced quality getaway. For us, this has been a great stay worth repeating.

Great cottage style house in convenient location just a few minutes outside the National parks. Well-stocked, clean, and very functional accommodations. Plenty of room for our family of four with two extra beds to spare. AC worked great with extremely hot temps outside. Great communication from the Owner. Highly recommend.
