"We stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights with my partner. Unfortunately, the air conditioning kept turning on and off and eventually stopped working completely showing an error on the screen. We later learned the entire floor had lost AC. Without any cooling or ventilation my partner struggled to breathe and developed a severe fever, which left him really ill. We complained and were moved to a room on the 10th floor (originally on the 5th floor.) We hoped this would be an upgrade and some compensation for having to move all our belongings and for my boyfriend getting sick, but the new room was actually smaller, had a worse view and was missing several amenities. We had also booked an extra night due to our late 11pm flight. To make matters worse, after our stay we received an email saying they had over refunded us by mistake and would be recharging our card AUD 166 (AUD 83 × 2) to correct it. On the positive side, the bed was very comfortable, the room was fairly clean and the lobby was beautiful with a lovely scent and great aesthetic. Unfortunately, the AC failure, the downgrade in room quality and the refund issues left us with a pretty bad experience overall."

"Staff at reception was not friendly or helpful. Strict about check in time, didn’t let us in even for an hour earlier. We were so tired after a long flight from Canada. They made us waited in the lobby till 3pm. Also, they did not provide slippers because of our room was not “luxury” enough… only gave us one pair after I promised to give them a review. We stayed for four nights and couldn’t get two pairs for two people?! Yes, here is the true reviews!"

"First of all their front desk staff were very professional and helpful, especially Zara. Hotel room: sheets and towels were clean. Shower drain had hairs on it, and the top shelf in the closet and on the inside of the doors had a lot of dust. I believe this room was recently renovated, but was not properly cleaned after the renovation. One other issue was the curtains they did not fully close properly, and the light from the street was kind of strong and disruptive. Breakfast: towards the start of the week, the breakfast quality was good, but I felt as the week progressed the quality and presentation of the breakfast kind of declined, especially on Saturday. It was not very good. I ordered an omelette and it was not even properly cooked the lady who runs the breakfast service during the week she was amazing very attentive. One other issue was their coffee machine , any coffee beverages with milk, for example, mocha latte or cappuccino were served cold or lukewarm. Most of their salt and pepper shakers were not refilled.."
