The staff was what lifts this place. The rooms were clean and OK, although there were some old carpet stains and a bit of a scent from the shower drain. The corridors were really tired and the carpet dodgy. But the staff were an absolute delight and the breakfast you could get there was classic.

Easy to find, parking was a bit hard - not a very big car park out the back, unfortunately I was not able to park in there due to it always being full. Was able to park just down the road. The room was spacious and beds were very comfy, but on the whole the room could do with a bit redecorating. Also not the best if you have young children as the music in the evening is very loud and vibrates through the room.

Dont believe the bad reviews! Lovely little pub, friendly and efficient staff. Nice clean room with two pillows each and drink facilities! Of course its loud below, its a pub! Was perfect for the quick stop over we needed and a nicely cooked breakfasy in the morning too for a very reasonable price! Free tea and coffee included!

The bed was comfy and felt clean. The shower was okay - the temperature dial was broken but fortunately set at a fine temperature for me. There was a lot of noise from the pub below as there was live music until around 1am, without any warning when I checked in. The window was slightly broken or ill-fitted, and with only a thin, grubby, broken blind rather than curtains, meaning that road noise and sunlight easily came into the room. The TV worked but the remote did not, so channels could only be changed using the buttons on the TV itself. The small car park didn’t have enough space for me to park, but fortunately the man at the fuel station allowed me to park overnight on the forecourt. The room overall was cheap and largely okay, but my sleep was significantly disturbed so I would not stay here again or recommend it to others.

Perfect for a quick overnight stay so we could get an early start. Friendly staff, easy check in. Even let us take a pint to the room 👍. Room was basic but did the job.it was fairly loud in the club but we couldn’t hear anything from our room.

Nice Clean room staff very nice and friendly welcoming only things which could be improved on are the main carpets in corridors look a little tired but room was spotless and faultless. spot on and excellent value for money and no tea and coffee in room but they have made it free from bar downstairs. Id stay again without hesitation breakfast under £10 very good too

You don’t expect to go to a hotel, and have to tell the staff to turn the music off at 12 midnight, it was blaringly loud at 10 there should be a cut off point at ten so that residents can get some sleep ready for the next day. There has been an attempt to improve the bedroom we used, new furniture and a comfy bed. The shower room the floor was dirty and the shower door broken. And a dirty towel on the towel rail. We had half door handle to negotiate to get in our room. Like others have said the car park not good you can drive in if there’s a space but you have to reverse out into the petrol station and hopefully turn around. I’m guessing but I think it’s the sort of place where contractors will use during the week and use it for work. I don’t think it will suit the the family looking for a weekend break. Unless they sort out the noise issues and do a good maintenance/repair job. If we stay in the area again, we’ll definitely not stay there.

Lovely little inn

Lovely little inn with super comfortable beds. We slept so well! Sadly our in room TV didn’t work and the internet was a little spotty. The staff were very friendly and it was a lovely atmosphere!

The pub was lovely amd great entertainment. Only a couple of thinngs that would have made it alot better amd a 5 rating is the pillows on the beds. You only got 1 pillow that was very flat and the second thing was there was no chairs in the room to sit in to relax. Other than that. The stay was nice. Was very noisey but to stay at a pub thats what we expected.

It was alright. Can't complain with the price. Bed was comfy. TV was OK for streaming but WiFi didn't work and when I asked at the bar they said they had same issue and that it should work later, it didnt. Staff were friendly. No soundproofing in room so it does get quite loud being a pub. I wouldn't stay there with my kids

Needs a lot of updating

Cheap but very basic and really could do with some TLC. I mean the room is as clean but dirty! It had been cleaned but lots of stains on carpet and chair, TV didn’t work, cracker tiles in bathroom and mould. Staff really nice hence don’t want to put it down to much, but would I stay again NO
