"We loved our time at Cago Guest House. My husband and I stayed for two nights and wish we stayed longer. Taketomi is a beautiful, quiet island and Cago is the perfect place to stay and enjoy it. The owners, a husband and wife, are lovely. We opted for the dinner both nights (breakfast was included) and all the food was fantastic. Highly recommend this place!"

"My husband and I had an absolutu fantastic stay here for 3 nights - it's the perfect base to explore the island while being located close to Ishigaki centre for great food options and amenities. The swimming pool was a fantastic length to do laps in, and the buffet breakfast was delicious with lots of western and Asian options. Our room was spotless with a beautiful view over the ocean. "Great breakfast, room in coral wing lovely but no balcony so go for the other wings if you need one. Staff were great, beach is nice but if you can travel to other beaches highly recommend doing so as well. Interestingly they advertise pool access as restricted to wings but until March 2027 any wing can use sunset and sunrise pool. This is lucky we went at this time as sunset is nicer and we wouldn’t have been able to use it. Note to staff: our shower cubical was filling up a bit more than you’d expect. Overall great stay, thank you."
