  • Last night we went to a Taoist Temple in Taipei. You can see in the close up picture of people praying how they receive and answer immediately from the prayers. After kneeling and bowing, you throw two "stones" onto the floor. They are both crescent shaped with a sun and a moon side. If they end up both on one side, the answer is NO. If they end up both on the other side, the answer is maybe, or not enough information. If the end up like a ying and a yang, then the answer is YES. I took a moment to pray, asked my question and got a ying and a yang out of the throw. The belief is, that the result comes from within your own heart.

In the two months I spent in Taiwan this was by far my favorite hotel. The hotel has an amazing kind and helpful staff, who went far and beyond, making you feel very comfortable. The room was modern, big enough and cleaned everyday. The area (Zhongshan) was also my favorite in Taipei. Lots of food, shopping and entertainment. Would stay here again for sure. Thank you!

Cleanliness of the room and its location. Tokyo International Hotel is a hidden gem.with a wonderful staff and accommodations. It’s situated in a perfect location full of shops and restaurants along with a mall within walking distance. The hotel might not have all the high end amenities, but the coziness of the hotel makes up for all of that.

Great great hotel.

Tokyo International Hotel saved our stay in Taipei. Staff were absolutely fantastic and the rooms were just like a hotel room should be. It is a great great hotel that I can recommend to everyone visiting Taipei. Only the breakfast they should work on - But everything else were fantastic. Thank you for making our stay great. The area is also great.
