"Amazing hotel in a great location! Definitely recommend getting a Taipei 101 view room for that iconic view. Hotel has an amazing
pool area and the view from the breakfast restaurant at the top of the building is awesome. The location almost on top of the City Hall MRT station makes this a great place to get around the city from.
Only minor gripe is that the breakfast selection is a little small - we've been to other W hotels which had a wider selection."

"This is an excellent hotel for the price, right on top of the train station, 5 minutes walk to the tube and 10 mins walk to a small night market which you can enjoy local food and massage. Not far from central Taipei so either getting an uber or on the tube are both convenient. Highly recommend."

Absolutely Exceptional–A True Five-Star Experience
"We had a superb experience staying at The Grand Hotel in Taipei. Among hotels of similar level, this one stands out for its thoughtful service and attention to detail.
The staff were consistently warm and helpful — from the front desk and concierge to the transportation team, restaurant servers, cleaning staff, and luggage attendants. Everyone made us feel welcome and well taken care of.
What impressed us most was how comprehensive the services were. The hotel helped us arrange taxis, airport shuttles, and even a private driver for a day trip outside of Taipei, which was the highlight of our stay. They also offer on-site currency exchange, which was very convenient.
The hotel itself is true to its name — grand in design, well-maintained, and very clean. There's a real sense of history and elegance throughout the property.
For the level of comfort and service provided, we felt the price was more than fair. It was excellent value for the experience we had.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and well-run place to stay in Taipei.
