The owner was incredibly informed and invested in helping her guests have the best experience in her city. She provided maps and plenty of information regarding tourist attractions. The staff were incredible. I mistakenly put garbage in the wrong place several times before realizing where it goes, and they picked it up and put it in the right disposal bin without complaining once.

Great location, new and clean. Goof for families

We had a great stay at Hostel 109. The location is close to many metro stops which in a way made is a bit confusing. It is basically walking distance from Taipei Main Station. And close to the airport express train stop. Cross the arch you see in the middle of the main road in zhonzheng district (see pictures ). Its also close to the michelin star peppercake roasted buns where people queu just $2 and soo tasty but peppery. Chin the owner is very friendly and she recommended us what to do and see around. There are actually so many sights but highly recommended Chiang Kai Shek memorial, national museum of history and just outside Taipei go to Siphen to fire up a floating lantern.. take TRA from taipei main station and stop past ruifang station which connects to pingxi green line which stops at Siphen. Spend the day there very cultural and colorful. Trains come every hour ans make sure you fly a lantern.. so meaningful experience. Taiwan is beautiful country and must visit. If you have not tried staying in a dorm or a hostel, Hostel109 is fantastic choice for families and group of friends. Everything is new and clean. Each bedside has lamp ans curtain and charging area. Highly recommended and hope to visit again soon!
