Hanna's Cabin - 1 bedroom, loft 1 bathroom

Hanna's Cabin - This charming vintage West Shore cabin is full of character and nestled among nicely landscaped grounds. Recently refurbished and thoughtfully updated, it’s the perfect Lake Tahoe getaway. Ideally located near Chambers Landing, Tahoma Market, and the Dog & Bear Tavern, Hanna’s Cabin offers easy access to some of the West Shore’s best spots.

The cozy 1-bedroom, 1-bath cabin features a spacious loft and multiple sunny sitting areas, ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring. The large living area includes a gas fireplace and Applebox flat-screen TV, while the full kitchen—though compact—has everything you need to prepare delicious meals (note: no dishwasher). Just off the kitchen, the side deck invites you to dine outdoors with a table, chairs, and umbrella. There’s also an additional sitting area on the other side of the cabin for extra space to unwind.

Sleeping arrangements include a full-size bed in the downstairs bedroom and a queen-size bed in the spacious loft. The loft also offers a separate sitting area with a desk—perfect if you need to catch up on work during your stay. The downstairs bathroom is small but functional.

In winter, enjoy world-class skiing with Homewood Mountain Resort just 10 minutes away. Palisades Tahoe, Alpine Meadows, and Northstar resorts are also within easy driving distance.

During warmer months, explore the stunning beaches and historic landmarks of the West Shore. Don’t miss Sugar Pine Point State Park (with a sandy beach and the Ehrman Mansion), Meeks Bay, DL Bliss State Park, and the breathtaking Emerald Bay and Vikingsholm Castle.

Whether you’re looking for adventure or just some peaceful downtime, Hanna’s Cabin is your perfect Tahoe escape.

What's nearby

  • The dock of the Hellman-Ehrman Mansion on the shore of Lake Tahoe in Sugar Pines Point State Park. The lake is magical in itself, but sitting there enjoying the entirety of the scenery is breath-taking. The mansion tour is US $12 and a very nice docent led exploration. The grounds have a lot to see as it is a part of a larger state park. Cheaper than the Vikingsholm tour nearby and much less crowded.

Tahoma Cabin

This little gem is in a great location. An easy walk to the lake. The cozy kitchen is nicely appointed. The upstairs loft is a wonderful room to sleep or read in. I would stay here again.

Good space and location

Floor was dusty, but bathroom and kitchen were clean; bedrooms fine. Tiny shower did not drain quickly, but it did drain eventually. Lovely neighborhood.

exactly what we were looking for

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay at Hanna's cabin. It is exactly as pictured. We especially appreciated how sparkling clean and well stocked it was. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need to prepare meals there. The bathroom was small but well stocked with nice fluffy towels. The location on the west side was ideal for all that we wanted to do in Tahoe. It is secluded and quiet but also walking distance to a great market and coffee shop. The upstairs bed is quite firm and, like the sofa, low to the ground. The owners introduced themselves and it was nice to know they were close by, but we didn't need anything at all. We took advantage of some of the many things that are provided like a small cooler and a beach umbrella. The icing on the cake was the adorable landscaping and flower beds. We would absolutely stay here again.

The cabin was clean, spacious, and exactly as depicted in the profile. The owners live next door which was great because the property management company failed to ever send us the entry code. Chris was outside when we arrived and he cheerfully let us in and showed us how to work the bear electric fence on the cabin. It was nice having him nearby for advice on locations to explore. All in all, this was a terrific place and we’d come back here in a heartbeat.
The cabin and the yard next door.

Nice place

We were greeted by the owners who lived next door. Very nice owners and have a lot of pride of ownership and do a great job with taking care of the yard and surroundings. We spent the majority of the time at the lake so didn’t use the house for cooking or meals but mainly used it for sleeping at night so it suited us just fine. It’s very comfortable inside and suited our needs well. It’s located extremely close to the rubicon trail so mountain biking or off roading would be an ideal starting point for this place. The bathroom is a bit small but that didn’t bother me at all. I have 3 females in the family so you’ll be fighting for mirror space if that’s how your family works;)

Classic tahoe cabin

Cute cabin convenient to lake, bike path, grocery store. Spotless. Excellent beds and beautiful landscaping. Nice outdoor seating area. Lake access at chamber's public beach. Good internet and tv reception. Functional kitchen. Downside was a very small bathroom with a shower that did not have an adjustable showerhead. Good only for tall people, otherwise difficult.
