About this property
Reynold's Charming West Shore Cabin
This charming Lake Tahoe cabin was built in 1955 and is situated on Tahoe’s Magical West Shore, just a short drive from Tahoe City. It is set back on over a half-acre lot offering guests privacy while enjoying the wooded setting. A darling vacation rental with four bedrooms and two baths, which will sleep up to eight people and you can even bring along one well-mannered pet. There is a large garage/shed for all of your winter or summertime outdoor equipment. Upon entering this home you will find yourself in the living area with high whitewashed ceilings, cozy furniture and a stone gas-burning fireplace. Off to the side is the well-equipped kitchen and simple dining area. At the back of the house, you will find the master bedroom with a Queen size bed, access to the garage, a large closet and its own full bathroom. Thru the French doors, you find yourself on a private deck in the backyard, where you can enjoy the sunshine and relax in a hammock stretched between two trees(may not always be set up). In the winter months, there is plenty of room for playing in the snow. There is a full bath at the bottom of the stairs that lead up to a loft area and a small bedroom with a Double size bed. Another set of stairs will take you to two more guest bedrooms, the first has two Twin beds and the other airy room has a Queen size bed. There is wifi. Tennis courts and volleyball are close by at Kilner Park where there is even a playground for the little ones and 7 wooded acres of trails. Very close to Sunnyside Resort, Firesign Cafe and local market. This home is on the shuttle route to the backside of Alpine Meadows, just minutes away. Homewood Mountain is minutes down the road and a short drive will take you to Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley USA.
All of our rentals come with fully equipped kitchens; most kitchens do not have pantry items due to wildlife concerns. We provide all linens and towels; most units have beach towels as well. There is a washer and dryer in every rental. Every unit has Wi-Fi. There is NO A/C, this is not commonly found in Tahoe, there are fans.

Stayed here with my boyfriend for a birthday trip to Tahoe with our dog. It was a great stay and extremely cozy! The neighborhood was quiet and there was a lot to do around town. Fast replies from the company when we had questions. Would definitely recommend.
We came to Tahoe to surprise our daughter who was working in the area for the summer. This house was in the perfect location! There are hiking trails accessible within walking distance, as well as a couple of great restaurants and a small market. The home is exactly as described, and was very clean upon arrival. We would stay again.
We enjoyed our stay immensely. Did the Eagle Lake hike at Emerald Bay, took a bracing cold autumn swim in the lake at Obexer’s, had nice meals at Za’s in Tahoe City, & Sunnybrook—both overlooking the lake. Laughed ourselves silly playing charades at the cabin. AND loved the instant hot water for showers. Thanks for a great getaway!

Authentic Tahoe house. Cute and cozy. Comfortable with private rooms. Kitchen needs organization, items scattered all over the many cabinets.
This is a great place to stay to be close to the lake and comfortable with lots of people. There are plenty of beds (but it might be a tight squeeze to have everyone in the living room together...) I loved how the kitchen was well-stocked with all the supplies you would need to cook a full meal for your group/family. It was nice to see even a coffee grinder (even though it didn't work...)

Visited after a recent snow storm. House was ready as promised it was cozy and comfortable. Played games in the dining nook for hours. Pet friendly. . A better description of kitchen amenities would have prevented over packing. Since it was Thanksgiving, the kitchen was important! Very unorganized cooking equipment. Not enough toilet paper

We had a great stay at this cabin. It was cute and compact. We only used 2 out of the 4 bedrooms. Two negative things was one the washing machine did not work and two there were no screens on the windows down stairs and it was very hot inside during the night! Other than that we had a great time! Thanks!

Reviewer Comments:
The cabin was indeed "charming" and the location ws ideal. The negative issue for us was three of the four bedrooms were upstairs and the bathrooms were downstairs. The stairs were difficult for the seniors that were with us so our multigenerational holiday together was disappointing. If we had a better idea of the layout we would have declined this property and chosen one more suitable for our group.
This is a great place, seriously. Total Old Tahoe charm and complete with everything you could ask for. I am so curious about its history-there’s a bird feeder out front that states it’s the Old Pineland Historic Inn. I googled it but didn’t find anything. And I realize that when a rental accepts pets that you may need to lower your standards some. It’s a given. But this place really would benefit from a deep cleaning. Old food spatters on the walls and grime around door and cabinet knobs that you can see and feel. It just felt like this place hadn’t been cleaned in years. That said, if this place had a major clean up, I’d rent it again!
The house is charming and fit 6 adults no problem. When we arrived the management company had turned lights on, turned up the heat and started the gas fireplace. It was very welcoming.
The house is a short drive to the ski slopes, shopping and fun restaurants- perfect location!
The issue we had were the mice, they kept us up with their scratching and were frequent visitors on the lower level. The house is older so this type of thing is sometimes unavoidable. But everyone I spoke to seemed to be aware of this problem except us. I had to spend every morning cleaning up after them in the kitchen so the rest of the party didn’t see the mess.
Our experience at Pineland was wonderful! Everything we needed was there, check in was a breeze, tons of privacy but close to town, it really was the perfect cozy vacation home for our crew!

This is the second time we have rented this house and love it. The location is perfect. Unfortunately because of the fires and smoke we left early but we look forward to our trips here next year.

Overall we were satisfied. We were happy that we were allowed to bring our dogs. A few suggestions: a book should be available in the living room regarding things to do and restaurants, including restaurants that allow dogs. We had to figure it out on our own. There were two areas that had a lot of cobwebs. One was above where the thermostat was. It would have been really helpful to have wi-fi instead of finding coffee shops that had it. The reading lights by the bed were out and there weren't any in the laundry room to replace them with.

The house is always clean and ready for our stay at West Shore. Never has there been an issue with our stay here. The management company always communicates very well, both before and after stays. I look forward to many more great stays here.
Conveniently located but it does not meet the description. Upon arrival, we noticed the grounds had not been well taken care of on the outside and that the furniture was not as pictured. The hammock shown in the description was no where to be found and the ping pong table that was supposed to be in the garage was unusable as the garage was dirty and had many cobwebs and spider webs. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. The living room had a very nice fireplace but the sofa is in need of replacing as it was worn and dusty. It was also very uncomfortable and gave little support. There was virtually no where to sit comfortably in the living room. It is advertised as sleeps 8, but the one bedroom was unusable as a window pane was broken and a piece of the window was missing. The bed actually was a mattress siting on the floor and the bedding was old and dusty. The laundry room was convenient, but also had many cobwebs. This is not. Place to sit and relax while on vacation. Although linens were supposed to be included, we found no wash cloths in the entire cabin and so had to go buy our own. I would recommend this place for its location, but it is in need of a remodel and update.
