Get away from it all and come stay in this cozy Tahoma cabin for a relaxing Lake Tahoe vacation. Ideal for families, this rental is roomy, close to skiing, and within walking distance to the lake and in-town conveniences.

Located just over two miles from Homewood Mountain Resort, getting to the slopes in the winter will be a cinch. Likewise, in the summer, a short walk will get you to the shores of beautiful Lake Tahoe and to town. And you'll be just slightly over a mile from Sugar Pine Pointe State Park.

This home is all on one level, making it an excellent option for guests with mobility issues. Step inside this inviting cabin-style rental and feel right at home. Get comfy on the sofa next to a toasty fire, and get acquainted with the area's offerings via the free WiFi. Slip a movie into the DVD player or stream one on Netflix, and make good use of the large flat screen TV.

The open floor plan makes traffic flow and the possibilities for connection between you and your guests possible, even when you're in the well-equipped kitchen preparing hearty meals. Make all your favorites or try something new, then dine together at the large table for eight. In the summer, whip up a delicious barbecue meal on the gas grill on the deck, and savor your creation outside in your beautiful forested surroundings.

When it's time for sleep, you'll have plenty of options for a great night's sleep. The master bedroom has a queen-size mattress and private bathroom. The second bedroom also has a queen, and the third has four twin bunk beds, making it a great space for kids. There's also another full bath in the main hallway. And there's a washer and dryer in-house for your added convenience.

If you visit during the winter, access to skiing is made easy with Homewood Mountain Resort being just a little over two miles away. And if you want to branch out, world-renowned Squaw Valley Ski Resort and Alpine Meadows are about 15 miles away.

In the summer, let the kids ramble about in the back yard while you chill on the deck and let go of all the stress from everyday life. Take a leisurely bike ride on the bike path, which parallels W. Lake Blvd. for almost a half-mile, and soak up the sun. Hiking trails abound in the area, and Lake Tahoe is a short walk away where you can lounge and take in the grandeur of this stunning body of water.

Very dated furniture, flooring, appliances, beds, bedding and bathroom. Was clean but felt dirty.

Nothing fancy. Just a place to rest your head when you are in beautiful Lake tahoe. The door is sticky...Really sticky. It seems locked when it is just stuck. And the pans in the kitchen are terrible...but who goes on vacay to cook? Everything else worked fine and it was an easy space for my family of four to relax. We walked to the campground several times. It's a significant walk but doable. And there were screens. I have sweated all night in fancier cabins that mysteriously didn't have window screens, but we were able to open up and cool down at night. I would stay here again

This was the worse trip I've been on. Roads were closed, 10hr delays. Didn't arrive till early the next morning. Driveway was not plowed leaving myself and my family to shovel driveway at 330 in the morning. We came in to a cold and dark cabin. When trying to reach owners, took hours to get back with answers. I felt they could of accommodated us with other options rather than loose out on money. I will not be returning to this property in the future.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed. I understand rental “cabins” are rustic, we have stayed in several small cabins and seen many more first hand with friends/family. This house is in serious need of updating and upgrading, even for cabin. If you like dingy and battered on the inside with no useable space outside other than a minimalistic deck, this place is for you. If you want to feel comfortable sitting on a couch or having enough kitchen space and utensils to cook a meal, stay away. Bathrooms/showers were gross, random stains on bedroom walls. They offered hand soap for cleaning dishes, and dishwasher detergent for a non-existent dishwasher (one of many examples of the thought-fullness extended). We didn’t want our family over at this place when it was our night to host, I think that says it all. A suggestion to the owners: spend a few bucks and replace the furniture and carpets, they were either disgusting or in disrepair. For the rate we paid, you should be able to do this fun consideration of your future renters, otherwise this place is a rip off. We won’t be back here.

The worst rental experience I’ve ever had! My biggest complaint is that the beds were ROCK HARD, leaving us to head home from vacation with minimal sleep and sore bodies. One bunk bed had broken support and sunk in half way to the ground. One bed comforter had blood stains on it, two other beds had chunks of hair in them, and one bunkbed had trash, dust, and socks left under it, which was visible as soon as you walked in the room. Makes me wonder if they really clean this place. They listing also falsely advertised that there was a dishwasher and to contact them directly via vrbo. I never once was contacted back when I messaged them via vrbo. I got a check in text from one of their reps during our stay but when I informed them of the conditions of the place, I received no response. Very upset I paid as much as I did for this place. No one should be allowed to rent a place to people with beds in that condition and false info on listing.

Price was reasonable but expect the extra fees. Nice quiet neighborhood. Could use a little TLC. Looks like they are getting ready for a kitchen remodel seeing a new dishwasher and hood in the closet. Guest service could be better at communicating

My friends and I went to spend Thanksgiving and were a great place to stay, have everything to cook, a grocery store was less than 5 minutes, the house is great for a big group, and we enjoy ourselves a lot in the house.

Nice little place with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Could have used a serving of coffee for our first morning. We left a can of Folgers for the next folks so they don't have to worry about the morning pot of coffee :-) Other than that everything was great.

Although it was nice it was a little Intimidating with the Electric wires, but it kept us safe. I thought their could have been more toilet paper with the amount of persons 2 rolls wasn’t enough.

We like the patio deck/bBQ area ,location and quiet neighborhood . Refrigerator, stove, washer/dryer works perfect, boiler etc. We don’t like that the weather was a little bit hot and cabin gets hot inside and they don’t have AC or extra fans in the cabin ,also beds were uncomfortable. Light fixtures wasn’t working correctly and we found and they need to fumigate more often for small cocaraches we found some on the kitchen counter top .

The home was as described, a cottage right near Lake Tahoe. The area is beautiful and within walking distance to the lake. We had rain and no internet the entire time that we were there, as well as a community-wide power outage, but we adapted and had a good time anyway

There were some concerning problems with this place. To start, we couldn’t get the oven or the stove top to turn on no matter what we tried. We also tried flipping the breaker just to see if that was the problem but had no luck. Our second problem was the lower bunk bed. It was concerning to see cardboard under all of the mattresses but on our last night staying there a box spring broke while someone was sleeping so there is a bed half on the ground. Third, the step up to the front door is actually terrifying, PLEASE don’t stay here if you can’t make it up the front step, it’s like a 2 foot jump. On top of that it was icy so we had multiple people fall from just that. You would think they would read these reviews and solve these problems but they also have yet to communicate with us. This place is nothing more than just a place to sleep, and we couldn’t even do that without having problems.

We had to leave this house early because we were working from ‘home’ and the internet was too poor for video conferencing, and too poor even to watch tv without frequent buffering. There were also periods where it didn’t work at all, despite perfect weather & reboots etc. We did a lot of research & speed tests, and over the course of a week, it just didn’t live up to the description in the posting nor the conversations we had with Vacasa before arriving. The saving grace is that Vacasa worked with us (to some degree) when we had to leave a whole week early. The other big issue with the house is that there is no front step to the one and only entrance. It is a GIANT step up onto the porch - literally higher than my knee. And upon arrival I had to use my axe to chip away the ice to even reach that big step. If you have mobility issues, this place is an absolute no-go. At least at the time of this review. Final beef - there was no shovel & no ash bin, and even after requesting it ASAP upon arrival & being told they’d bring us one, neither arrived during the week we were there. A bummer. There’s definitely a sense of ‘coasting’ with this unit. If you don’t need the internet, don’t watch tv or care if it’s frequently buffering, don’t have mobility issues, and are generally ok with a hands-off rough & tumble experience in an older pad, then this place may serve you well. It’s got 3 big bedrooms & a nice fireplace & is wonderfully close to Palisades & Alpone resorts.

The house was clean and the driveway clear of snow, good overall although there is no dishwasher in the kitchen and some lamps don’t work. There is no salt, oil or any condiments in the kitchen.

Great traditional Cozy Cabin.

Perfect spot for a great ski trip. Everything we were looking for. Heater was very powerful which was much needed in the winter. Beds and family room were very comfortable. :)

We enjoyed our stay overall because Tahoe is incredible, but in 50+ years of summer vacations there, this cabin was disappointing. Old, outdated, Ill-equipped, unkempt. We spent the same amount last year for a much nicer, bigger cabin just up the street. A little money and TLC could do wonders!

We really enjoyed staying at this place. The booking was easy and you just arrive and everything is ready for you. Clean and very nice area. Right next to the lake

6/10

We like the location, quiet neighborhood, not to bad of a drive to town. Very nice neighbors. The house it self needs to be attended to. The transition strip in kitchen need to have nails drove in more as the girls both stepped on them and hurt their feet, nothing that needed stitches or anything. One of the kitchen chairs was broken, and should have been taken out of house, instead of leaving at the table. The coffee pot looks like it was missing a piece, after the 3rd attempt we got it to kinda work. Back splash in kitchen needs to have the splashed food cleaned off. cupboards wiped down, as there was dried food on them. The front door was a very hard to open or close esp for the kids. Did notice that the bear mat in the front prob wasn't working as one of the wire was out of connector. Beds were ok, one of the bunk beds was terrible, I had to sleep in the room for one of my daughters was scared, felt like I was on a box spring. The other girls didn't say anything about their beds, but they are kids and can sleep anywhere. The rail on outside back porch needs attention as well not solid at all. The deck was borderline unusable made it hard to enjoy sitting outside. The gate was boarded closed, so to go into back yard had to go though house and around. Had very nice hot water for showers, and very nice towels. The outside shower curtain really needed to be cleaned. Found previous guest shoes under one of the beds. The home was simple and not fancy at all. We are not fancy people so it was ok, We like to camp and all that, but I was disappointed for the price I would expect the house to be updated a tad more. Would I stay there again, prob not unless it got some love. There was a TV with Roku, but you couldn't add a channel as it was block not having a pin. Roku needed to be put into guest mode.
