About this property

Ski Palisades Townhome Hot Tub

  • Summary:
Escape to our comfortable 3BR/2.5BA Tahoe City townhouse, your year-round adventure base. Minutes from Palisades Tahoe, Lake Forest beach, and North Shore trails, with a modern kitchen, gas fireplace, private deck, in-unit washer and dryer, and free parking. Community pool, hot tub, sauna, and tennis courts round it out. A relaxed, convenient home base for families and groups.

    The Space:
    Lake Forest Glen | 3BR/2.5BA | Townhouse | Private Deck | Fireplace | Washer/Dryer

This updated two-story townhouse in Lake Forest Glen offers a clean, comfortable base for your Tahoe getaway. Fresh paint and new flooring give the space a bright, well-kept feel throughout.

The open main floor centers on a living room with a gas fireplace — a natural gathering spot after a day on the mountain or out on the lake. The kitchen has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and is fully stocked for cooking real meals: pots and pans, glassware, dishware, and the basics like foil, salt, pepper, and cooking oil. A dining area sits alongside, and a private deck with outdoor seating is just beyond.

Upstairs are three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, with a half bath on the main floor for guests. An in-unit washer and dryer make longer stays and ski weeks easy. Free parking for two vehicles is right outside the unit.

This is a comfortable, well-maintained space — not a luxury unit, but thoughtfully kept and well-positioned for everything the North Shore has to offer. Lake Forest beach and the Tahoe City bike path are a short walk, and Palisades Tahoe, Northstar, and Tahoe City dining are all a quick drive.

    Guest Access:
Guests have exclusive use of the entire townhouse for the duration of their stay — no shared interior spaces. You're also welcome to enjoy the Lake Forest Glen community amenities: a large seasonal swimming pool (summer only), a hot tub and sauna (open most of the year), seasonal tennis courts, and a playground. The amenity key card pass is on the mantle above the fireplace.
GOOD TO KNOW: No grill (HOA rule). The HOA sets amenity hours. Check-in instructions include the unit number and a door photo. Shovels and ice melt on site.

    The Neighborhood:
Lake Forest Glen sits in a quiet residential pocket of Tahoe City, close to the water and well off the tourist traffic of the main corridor.
The Lake Forest boat launch is just minutes away — a convenient put-in for kayaks, paddleboards, and trailered boats. Several North Shore beaches are nearby for swimming, sunbathing, or an easy afternoon at the lake. In winter, Palisades Tahoe and Northstar are both a short drive, making this a practical basecamp for ski trips without the chaos of staying slope-side.
The complex itself offers seasonal amenities — pool, sauna, and tennis courts — set within the kind of forested surroundings that make Tahoe worth the trip in the first place. Hiking and biking trails thread through the area for guests who want to explore on foot or by wheel.
Downtown Tahoe City is just a few minutes away: local restaurants, coffee shops, a handful of galleries, and the kind of low-key main street that feels like the actual town rather than a resort strip.

    Getting Around:
    A PERSONAL VEHICLE IS RECOMMENDED
Getting around during your stay at 3101 Lake Forest Rd, Unit 157, Tahoe City is easy and convenient, whether you're here for summer lake activities or winter skiing adventures.

Driving: The best way to explore the area is by car. The condo provides easy access to nearby Lake Tahoe beaches, the Lake Forest boat launch, and popular ski resorts like Palisades Tahoe and Northstar Resort. Both ski areas are a short drive away, making it simple to hit the slopes or enjoy a day at the lake.

Public Transportation: For those wanting a more eco-friendly option, the TART (Tahoe Truckee Area Regional Transit) system runs routes throughout Tahoe City and North Lake Tahoe, including stops at the lakefront and ski resorts.

Biking and Walking: The neighborhood is also bike-friendly, with nearby trails leading to Lake Tahoe and other scenic spots. You can easily walk or bike to Tahoe City and nearby beaches.

Whether you're driving to ski resorts or using public transit to explore North Lake Tahoe, you'll find that getting around is simple and straightforward during your stay.
WINTER DRIVING (OCT 1 - MAY 31): 4WD or AWD with snow tires is strongly recommended for this home, and carry chains. Chain controls on I-80 and Highways 89 and 267 are routine during storms. Under R2, the most common level, every vehicle must chain up except 4WD or AWD with snow tires on all four wheels. Renting a car? Book AWD or 4WD specifically and confirm the tires at pickup.
FREE RIDES ALONG THE NORTH SHORE: TART Connect is a free, on-demand shuttle covering Kings Beach, Tahoe Vista, Carnelian Bay, Tahoe City and the West Shore. Request a ride in the TART Connect app. Check the app for current hours.

    Other Things to Note:
    • Community amenities are managed by the Lake Forest Glen HOA and their hours and seasonal availability are set by the HOA, not by us. For current hours during your stay, check with the HOA office on arrival.

    • There is no grill at this unit. The HOA does not permit private grills on decks.

    • Your check-in instructions will include the unit number (#157) and a photo of the front door so you know exactly where to go.

    • Winter stays: during large storms, be prepared to shovel — sometimes feet of snow. Shovels and ice melt are provided on site. We do not guarantee on-demand snow clearing between HOA visits. Booking in winter means accepting these conditions.

    • 2 Bedroom closets are available for guest storage.
