"Great location for exploring Aldeburgh and the Suffolk coast. Very pleasant bar and restaurant areas. The Sea Spice Indian restaurant was particularly enjoyable. It’s an old building so there’s lots of stairs and at the time of writing the lift is out of service. The bedroom we occupied was small and comfortable for a short break, but the bathroom was a little dated. However, overall we felt it was good value and we would be happy to stay here again in the future."

"There is quite simply nothing not to like about this property. We had a wonderful weekend here. The room was spacious, and spotlessly clean, and the bed super comfy. The breakfast was a real stand-out. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. It was our first visit to the area - don't know why we left it so long!"

"What a gem of a hotel, situated right on the harbour with views across the marina.the staff were all so friendly and helpful, happily going above and beyond to provide 'wows'. We only had a standard room, but, in line with the whole hotel, it was beautifully and quirkily furnished, clean and well appointed. So lovely also to be served a top quality breakfast, without self service at a buffet. Not cheap, but highly recommended. Overall probably the best hotel experience I have had! We have no plans to visit Ipswich again, but I'd love to be able to move this place around to wherever I plan to visit. "
