"Had an unexpected stop in Staunton, VA due to tire problems… booked the Blackburn Inn last minute to stay over and get van new tires. Pulled up and thought we were at wrong place. A beautiful historic colonial building looked like a college campus but was the Blackburn Inn. I researched and found out it used to be a hospital built in 1800’s. Very clean, well maintained and restored. The front desk allowed me to keep my room till noon on checkout while waiting for van repair. Only disappointment was the on site bar/ grill is seasonal and we had to go elsewhere for bite to eat. Excellent find… thanks Expedia and Blackburn Inn"

We all felt as though we had stepped back in time and landed in the little house in the prairie (though without all the work and with all the amenities). The views from the cabin were stunning! We took walks through the woods and hills every morning and evening, hardly ever retracing our steps. Our dogs were in paradise. The cabin was clean, and we found everything we needed on site.We are already making plans to return."
