Top Strumpshaw Steam Museum Hotel Reviews
Wayside
10/10 Excellent
"Very good comms and helpful owner. Just the accommodation required. Very good indeed and we all slept well! The pink pub opposite was also very welcoming!"
Sprowston Manor Hotel, Spa & Golf
8/10 Good
"Comfy stay, would stay again."
The Oaklands Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Perfect stay, clean room & staff were very helpful."
Waterside River Retreat - sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely second visit. Very relaxing holiday. New sun loungers are great. Quiet and peaceful surroundings. Sat on the veranda watching boats go by. Weather very hot. Fans provided which helped. Amenities nearby including supermarkets and pubs. Good instructions prior to arrival and welcome information available in the Lodge on arrival. We have already booked for next year."
Riverside cottage in idyllic location with private mooring.Great for fishing!
10/10 Excellent
"Location was excellent no complaints with that. But it needs some TLC inside and out.The cleaning was not upto standard from other places we've been.Dead flies on kitchen counter, grease under the dish drainer.Extractor fan switches was greasy.Cobwebs in conservatory.Dishwasher smelled as you opened it didn't feel like we could use it.Towels in bathroom smelled musty. And the private dock is dangerous and shouldn't really be used.2/3 planks broken and giving way.Knives and scissors in the block can't really used effectively as so blunt.Gate missing so be careful when letting your dogs outside. It does have a cart to carry stuff from the car to the house which was useful."
The Fieldhouse: Cosy Pet-Friendly Norfolk Broads Retreat
8/10 Good
"A nice compact place, perfect for a long weekend or short break. In a very quiet village, so it was wonderfully peaceful. Glenn very kindly provided some treats and poo bags for our dog. A nicely presented space overall and a good base to drive from around other parts of Norfolk. But don't waste your time on the local pub - it was unkempt, unloved and owners unfriendly."
Merchant's Nook An oasis of calm in a busy world!
10/10 Excellent
"Merchant nook was lovely, very quaint and small but everything you need, the garden was lovely and whilst shared with the owner was not an issue for us, the village was lovely with a community pub which served fantastic food and a community ran little shop for anything you need, lots of lovely walks around and ideally situated between Great Yarmouth and Norwich, would recommend."
Innisfree House by Leap Escapes
10/10 Excellent
"Just had the most fabulous relaxing holiday stay at Innisfree House. The location is absolutely perfect for relaxing, with a local bakery and pubs not too far away. The view of the river was really something special !! Sitting on the deck watching the boats go by with a drink in hand was perfect. There is plenty of wildlife about including swans and ducks etc so take lots of duck food. This really is a special place and has given us one of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had."
Pet-friendly Central Norfolk Broads Retreat
10/10 Excellent
"This is a great little cottage. We had a comfortable and very enjoyable stay. The cottage is really well presented and had everything we needed. It is in a great location to access the Broads and coastal resorts. Great dog friendly beach areas at Great Yarmouth, day boat hire from Potter Heigham and lots of seals to see at Horsey Gap. Glenn is a great host, very friendly and welcoming. If we are back visiting this part of Norfolk again, we would stay here again without hesitation."
