"My wife Judy introduced me to Werrys years ago and we just love it there. The owners Sam and Linda are great people. The way we like to describe the hotel/bar is it's an old, country western/ biker bar vibe with lots of character. The locals are now close friends. When we arrive, its a nice welcoming feeling. The location is great, the pool is inviting, the bartenders are attentive and friendly. No matter who you sit next to, you'll hear a great story. Karaoke night are a lot of fun. This is not...
"The day to day staff i.e. servers were amazing. Pool time was pretty chill, however the pool needs cleaning. Cherry house rooms smelled bad, outdated furniture, etc. Was a big turn off. The night vlub scene was fun, however they need to have more LBGTQ events to attract bigger crowds. "

I liked downtown Stroudsburg, though you don't need more than a couple hours to see it all. I also jogged on the McDade trail system along the Delaware River about 15 minutes away. Very nicely maintained trails along the river.

we walked in the main part of town and it was enjoyable to walk. Shops and restaurants. The area around Stroudsburg was nice but traffic was very busy all weekend. many types of restaurants, casino, and outlets are nearby but you have to drive.

Unfortunately the town does seem to be struggling at this time.But we ate at an Irish pub near the hotel that was very nice.
"Beautiful hotel, my kids used the pool and were very satisfied. Nearby stores and good choices of restaurants. The room has a fridge and microwave, which was a PLUS!!! "
