This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve experienced. We booked this trip as a stress-relieving getaway and instead dealt with constant issues. We were initially placed in a run-down room with visible ceiling damage and a large hole in the bathroom wall that appeared intentionally hidden from guests. Disturbing noise from a neighboring room forced us to request a room change early the next morning. While the front desk associate who helped us was kind and accommodating, the issues continued. The hot tub in the pool room was cold and visibly dirty. We reported it and were told maintenance would be notified, but nothing was resolved. We also tried to book spa services more than 24 hours in advance, including a stress package and a signature facial, and were told these services were not offered, despite being advertised on the hotel’s website and in on-site materials. Aside from one helpful front desk employee and the manager at the River Room restaurant, hospitality across the property was lacking. Management never followed up despite multiple emails. Due to the repeated issues, we left a full day early and were not offered any refund or adjustment. This property does not reflect what is advertised, and I would not recommend it to anyone seeking a relaxing stay.

Old world Charm!! We stayed here for New Year’s with three families and had such a great experience. The location is incredibly convenient—close to everything. We went tubing during the day and came back to so many fun activities for the kids, including the indoor pool and a fantastic New Year’s party. The staff truly made our stay special. Brian at the front desk went out of his way to help one of our friends who booked later than the rest of us stay in the main hotel rather than being placed in the other building, which was a bit of a walk. We were beyond thrilled and so appreciative. The on-site brewery was another highlight—the pizza was amazing and such an easy option for families. We also want to give a huge shout-out to a hotel worker named Marc (I believe that was his name), who was absolutely incredible. He went above and beyond and was genuinely kind. Highly recommend this hotel for families traveling with kids looking for a quick, easy, and fun getaway. We will definitely be back!

I expected to stay in room at main resort instead my family of 12 was placed in run down inn dirty loud air condition/heat unit with no water pressure and hot water. Floor was dirty. We could not take advantage of indoor pool because not practical to walk to outside room in cold weather. Caroling and cookies not worth 10.00 pp you get stale old cookies and Swiss Miss hot chocolate with warmed tap water. No motivation to sing maybe one person sang. Our car tire got damaged while we parked car at Delaware Lodge. A screw got caught in tire. It is now 12:30pm still driving around looking for a repair shop. Everything went wrong this weekend at this Inn. I do want to commend Iris who listened with empathy to my issues with room and offered a form of service recovery. She was very professionally and kind. Thank you iris.

Old school hospitality at it's best. This is the 10th year in a row my family has stayed over Thanksgiving break and something we really look forward to. The Christmas tree lighting with caroling in the lobby really took it to the next level. Keep up the great work Shawnee!
