Warm hospitality, delicious breakfast. We enjoyed the ambience of the housebar and having a night cap. Comfortable bed, great shower. We also enjoyed the walk to the waterfall.
Franklin Manor is an old house that has been renovated. One of our nights was very hot but there is no aircon throughout the property.
Managers of the property were attentive and friendly.
An old historical home with modern updates. The Victorian character was fun. It was convenient to the Gordon River tour boat and restaurants. Breakfast was good, although I wished the coffee service was first and not last in the order. The walls are a little thin and we heard other guests, although not late into the evening. The refrigerator had been unplugged and we didn’t realize it until our items had all warmed up to room temperature and had to be discarded. The Tasmania Devil stuffed animal left by the door was a fun way to indicate whether we wanted room service or not. I enjoyed the ambience sitting in the parlor having afternoon tea.

I really liked the property, and the house is beautiful. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The grounds are beautiful, it is within walking distance to the harbour, shops, and restaurants. It is a nice and quiet accommodation.
A beautiful property in a lovely location. Close enough to town and the foreshore that everything is within easy reach and yet far enough out that it was quite peaceful. A gorgeous old building with wonderful staff. A great place to explore the west coast.
Nice vintage house within reasonable walking distance to center of town. Nice vintage decor fit the era of the house. Very helpful and friendly staff. Clean and comfortable but not real sound proof. The continental breakfast served in the dining room was great, varied, and very filling.
Great place to stay in Strahan. Beautifully renovated/restored manor house. Room large and comfortable and very well appointed as was the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the complimentary continental breakfast was delicious. Service and staff were excellent. The property had a bar and an impressive and extensive wine cellar. There were also a few very elegant sitting rooms in which to enjoy a quiet drink. Highly recommended.
Beautiful place.
Just needs maintenance on windows. Spiderwebs and mould. Problem with blowflies.
Overall lovely ambience, great staff. Breakfast downstairs was lovely.
Oh my goodness it was amazing from when you walked in the door to when we checked out, staff amazing breakfast incredible, room was soooooo comfortable and warm bed was cozy as, beautifuly presented, bit of old and new nice fire going to take the chills of the day away before we settled in for the night
We found the bathroom door didn’t close properly without using the lock, also the bathroom window didn’t close correctly and a cold breeze came in. Otherwise it was a beautiful and comfortable room.
Exquisite stay at this timelessly iconic property.Beautifull surroundings overlooking Strahan harbour one of many unforgettable features. We cherished the unique continental breakfast. Congratulations well done to the team at Franklin Manor. All the best. Graeme and Carol.
Great location, clean, friendly, hospitable, quiet. Very happy

The whole experience was generally good, the only letdown was the first day it was extremely hot, 33 degrees with no air-conditioning or ceiling fans and no flyscreen for the windows. By the time we left there was flyscreens fitted but would be nice to see ceiling fans for those odd and probably rare extreme hot days. We will probably be back when we visit Strahan again but would be good to see at least fans in the rooms if they're required.
