"I want to preface this review by saying we are normally very understanding, but this was a terrible stay. The moment we arrived, you could tell he house wasn’t cared for because the lawn was completely overgrown. Once inside, we realized just how poorly managed the place is. There were smoke detectors beeping from low batteries, cob webs on multiple surfaces, hair trimmings in the bathroom drawers, stains on carpets, old/dirty bug traps and dead bugs throughout the house. When we went to try to get a glass of water after our travel day, the fridge was broken and we were unable to even do that. Then as the (first) night went on, we started to notice ants. They were in the master bathroom, kitchen, etc.. We messaged the host immediately and she proceeded to drop off four ant traps for us to place in the house. While pest control isn’t first on my list for relaxing vacation activities, we placed them out. Then as our 4 night stay went on, we noticed more ants in our suitcases in closets, all over our food in the pantry, and even crawling on us while we slept. We reached out again and explained that they may need pest control and asked for a partial refund from the host but received no response. We felt as though we were in a dirty, bug infested house with no help or answers. Now after we have left the host has said because she is not the owner she could not help us regarding any sort of partial refund for our lost food or dirty stay. Just do yourself a favor and book elsewhere. "

"This is a hard review to write as I generally say really positive things and have such a good experience with Expedia. We booked this cabin when visiting Lassen National Park. On the plus side:
Great WiFi and TV
Communication
We could walk to the Bambi Inn for dinner the first night
Kitchen was well stocked
On the not so plus side:
The bathroom was dirty
The bathroom needed a total refresh - the paint was in terrible shape as well as broken baseboards and moulding
The immediate area around the cabin felt 'deserted' (at least on the nights we were there)
And DONT park under the pine tree in front of the cabin or you will spend 2 plus hours cleaning the pitch off your car in Susanville."
