"Room - clean, decent sized, great location (esp for Oktoberfest). Air conditioning was inadequate, and shut off on its own every 2-3 hours, even at night. Could not get temp under 23.5C/75F. Front desk was no help. Room also had a note that a flat sheet could be requested from the front desk but NO ONE at the desk knew anything about that. We were given a twin duvet cover instead. Breakfast was overpriced, eggs were cold right as they were put out."

"Hotel Deutsche Eiche is a very convenient location to the Marienplatz and Viktualienmarkt. Restaurant is particularly good! However, we chose this hotel because they offered 24-hour airport shuttle service. this is not the case and has not been for over 5 years according to the desk clerks. Perhaps they need to update the hotel amenities. The taxi ride cost an additional $120 that we were not expecting on top of the quadrupled rates during Oktoberfest."

"This is our second year traveling to Munich for Oktoberfest and staying at the Maritim. The staff at the front desk is very nice and friendly. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The breakfast is consistently fresh, plentiful and they offer a nice variety of options. The piano bar is always relaxing and the staff is friendly. My only and single complaint about this hotel is the location. While it is centrally located and within walking distance to the city center, the train station is directly across from this hotel and you will see sketchy characters at all hours of the day and night."
