Great place to stay at munich , we had a car and the location is a short drive to almost every main attraction. We are family of 5 and the room was spacious comfortable and very clean , just perfect. The placeis even better than the pics on the listing. Good breakfast !

Always a great experience. This family-run hotel blends traditional charm with modern comfort and is centrally located in the lovely suburb of Trudering. The beds are comfortable, and both the rooms and property are impeccably maintained. The breakfast buffet is a dream — and if you’re lucky, you’ll catch a glimpse of Herr Obermaier Sr., the founder, during breakfast. The hotel also features a cozy bar and an on-site traditional beer garden. Its convenient location provides easy access to downtown Munich via the S-Bahn. We come every year and will continue this tradition. Highly recommend this property.

Quaint yet very modern and cozy. Our room was newly renovated, nicely done and large. The breakfast buffet was amazing in its variety. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The neighbourhood had a small town feel with nice shops and the U-Bahn and S-Bahn were nearby. Great location, great hotel.

Great room for a family of 5

The room was excellent for our family of 5. Great atmosphere and an authentic Biergarten just next to the hotel. Trudinger Bahnhof is just a 5 min ride from the hotel and it was easy to reach München city within 30 min - warmest recommendations!

We are a family of 5 and we all think that this was the best hotel experience we have ever had. The hotel is a perfect mix between classic Bavarian style and modern design. The rooms are impeccable, the beds comfortable, the area very quiet. It is classy but with a touch of home. In addition, the breakfast was absolutely incredible, with a wide variety of quality local fare. We would return to this place any time and would recommend it to anyone.

We stayed with our adult children at the Hotel Obermaier during Octoberfest. It was all that we had hoped for. It is a traditional hotel with a good restaurant attached. It is convenient by Metro to downtown Munich. It is much more reasonably priced than closer-in hotels. Our room and bathroom were comfortable. The breakfast was unbelievably generous and delicious. We will definitely stay at the Hotel Obermaier if we are fortunate enough to return to Munich, particularly during Octoberfest.

This place is very cute. Everything is nice, except the coffee in breakfast could be better. Unfortunately, Hotels.com has no question specific for coffee, which is so important.

The hotel itself is great. Perfect location, beautiful huge rooms. Kid friendly. Plenty of shopping and dining in walking distance. Eco friendly with excellent breakfast. Absolutely loved it. Only complaint - not sure how this is participating in VIP membership, because you receive absolutely nothing. Was promised a bottle of wine, and I didn’t even expect an upgrade but got nothing. Next time I wouldn’t book based on Expedia VIP. Also, tons of dust under the bed along with toys and things from previous guests. There are 2 staff members at the front desk but only one is handling customers which means you will wait. Overall I would recommend based on the beautiful rooms, and location.

Good but had to pay to upgrade due to v hot room

The hotel itself is lovely, clean, breakfast is great. I stayed for the Adele concert and the location was great for that. The area is nice and a short walk to Riemer Park. The downside was my room (504 in the old building) was extremely hot and not habitable. I would not have got any sleep and felt ill being in there. There was a fan which did nothing but blow hot air at me. It wasnt even a really hot day. I dread to think what it's like in a heatwave. They offered me an upgrade for 30 euros a night. I took the room just to ensure my trip wasnt spoiled. The new room in new building was lovely, cool and i couldn’t fault anything. But I do begrudge having to pay extra through no fault of my own.

🏨 Amazing Hotel Experience! 🏨 I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel, and I cannot praise it enough! The rooms were incredibly spacious and impeccably clean, providing the perfect environment for relaxation. The location was simply unbeatable! Being right next to a supermarket and an underground station made it so convenient to explore the city and all its attractions. It couldn't have been better! Now, let's talk about breakfast – it was a delightful journey through German culture! The spread was filled with traditional German delicacies that left me with a newfound appreciation for their culinary heritage. What truly set this hotel apart was the incredible atmosphere. The staff's warm hospitality and the distinct German charm made me feel like I was part of a big, happy family. It was such a heartwarming experience! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city. It's a true representation of the German culture and offers an unforgettable stay. I can't wait to return! 🇩🇪😊 The only missing piece is small fridge in the room.
