We've stayed at Sapphire Beach multiple times in different units, and the location and amenities can't be beat.
However, our recent stay was marred by significant issues, primarily stemming from poor communication during check-in. Despite repeated requests, we received no response regarding early check-in confirmation and instructions, leaving us frustrated and anxious. After multiple attempts from us and from VRBO, we finally reached the management company, who seemed unaware of our prior communication efforts and failed to provide updates as promised.
On a positive note, the unit itself was well-maintained and modern, with comfortable beds, ample towels, and modern amenities like good TVs and a well-equipped kitchen. However, we encountered small cockroaches initially, and the absence of advertised beach chairs was disappointing. Though pest control was dispatched promptly, it didn't fully address the issue for the following days. Additionally, the upstairs AC was ineffective compared to the downstairs unit.
To improve the guest experience, we suggest the management company provide travel toiletries, beach chairs, and consider a small welcome gesture like water or wine. Reevaluating the furniture layout downstairs for better TV viewing comfort would also enhance the stay.
Overall, improved communication is crucial for a property of this caliber to maintain its reputation and ensure a satisfactory experience for guests.
