The owner responded quickly when an email was sent. It was a short walk to downtown and great shopping. Building was well maintained. It is on the corner of an intersection, on the weekend it did get a bit noisy with people leaving the bars and being loud.

This is a lovely and authentic little apartment that is walking distance to everything in St.John’s. Lots of room, lots of storage, but best of all you can walk to Signal Hill, the waterfront, and to George Street. It’s obviously older but it’s clean and nicely decorated. The bed is very comfortable. There’s only an electric burner and a toaster oven, but we had no intentions of cooking in anyway! Host was very kind and responsive. Would recommend.

Great stay!

I had an amazing stay at this apartment. Kathie is a wonderful, highly responsive host, and the apartment is exactly as pictured. Location can't be beat! I would definitely stay here the next time I'm in St John's.

Excellent location- great stay!

This apartment is centrally located. The apartment was fully stocked and beautifully furnished, I would stay here again. The upstairs patio is wonderful for watching a sunrise.

Fabulous apartment overlooking Signal Hill

A great find, spacious, very comfortably and tastefully decorated and equipped. Perfect location for walking to restaurants, shops and the waterfront but a few blocks up providing a quiet and restful setting, near Bannerman Park. The deck on the top floor is a delight for watching sunrise and sunset over the harbour. We highly recommend this spot.

Downtown Apartment

Property had a nice feel with the decor. Great view. Perfect distance to downtown for walking. Parking was always available and convenient. Also, close to some nice bakeries and park. Nice comfortable bed. It was pretty quiet considering the location and the other tenants.

Great Spot, Close to Everything

This is a lovely apartment in a historic building in St. John's. It is furnished with antiques and comfortable seating which complement the era of the building. It is close to restaurants, popular attractions and shops. The host provided everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Great Location

This apartment is quaint and clean. It gives you the real Newfoundland feel. It is perfectly located to be able to enjoy downtown and the harbor. My only complaint would be that the host is not very responsive to emails or text messages.

Wonderful location.

This apartment is located close to everything. It is comfortable and charming place. Some routine maintenance does need to happen (fixing the broken curtain rod so it doesn’t fall apart when trying to close the curtain for example). It was a very enjoyable stay.

Business stay

Fantastic location - at the top of a very steep hill! Great views. An old building with lots of creeks and quirks - beautiful old wood floors - so you hear a lot from the neighbours. But it’s charming and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. Very warm and comfortable.

Very central for activities

Perfect spot. We really enjoyed. Be aware uphill both ways only happens in St John’s 😃😂. Make sure you’re physically able. They need to figure out better black out curtains in the bedroom or bring an eye mask.

Place was in a good spot. Easy walk down. Cab back up. Go eat at the Peaceful Loft only a 5 minute walk right down Prescott. But get there early like before 6: Maybe 5:30. Liked the setup of the apartment but TV went in & out and one curtain panel is on backwards. Good shower. Towels were great and shampoo & conditioner a nice touch. Bed slopes on window side so probably a new mattress needed.

Great stay in a well located apt

We had a great four night stay at the apt. It was easy to find and access (two short flights of stairs). The apt was a good size - we appreciated having the large dining room table, big couch and chairs and a comfy Q bed. The kitchen was really well stocked. Although we didn’t cook (just reheated food a few times), it had all the little things you needed (s/p, spices, tea/coffee/sugar). Really appreciated having laundry (w/soap!). It’s location is convenient - a few blks down to the busier streets or up a few blks to a large grocery store. It’s on a busy corner, but above street level. We did eat plugs which worked great. We would absolutely stay here again.

Great space but lack of owner support

Lovely, spacious apartment in a convenient location in St. John's. Unfortunately, on-going problems with the building's front door lock made us tentative about leaving the property in case we could not get back in. We were provided with the code for the lock but no further instructions for the steps you had to take to get the lock to work. Several other renters expressed the same frustration. The owner kept telling us the instructions had been provided but they had not. One evening we were totally locked out. Although we reached out to the owner for help, we were left stranded until another tenant happened to be leaving and let us inside. Too bad that this problem spoiled an otherwise wonderful property.
