We had an excellent stay in August 2023! We loved our very comfortable room, the beautiful breakfast (and the wonderful waitresses), having dinner at the restaurant (great food!) and the location! We would highly recommend Hotel Dei Duchi and stay there again!!
The hotel was very convenient to everything and the carpark was very easy to navigate to which is often hard in any historical area. We had a junior suite which was lovely with a balcony and view. The one issue was the room wasn't very soundproof as could hear people walking around above us. Breakfast was basic but ok.
This hotel was situated in the perfect location for our family,.we're close to restaurants and shops in a beautiful setting with amazing views .We were able to walk to the restaurant and shops.
Hotel is well located near the historic centre, has onsite parking, the rooms are quite spacious and well kept. The staff was overall very friendly and helpful.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable and spacious room. Superb view from the balcony of our room. Excellent relaxation areas both inside the hotel (eg lounge and bar area) and outside in the well-kept grounds (eg. sun lounge area and casual dining area). Beautiful views from the breakfast/dining room. Well located in the 'old town' of Spoleto within a short stroll of many attractions. We wish that our stay could have been longer than three nights.

Good afternoon.
Thank you very much for your kind review and we hope you will visit us again sooner so that you will have the opportunity to see and appreciate other nice attractions our small town has.

This was overall a convenient location in Rome and okay for the price. The owner tried to be very helpful but her English is not very good so we had trouble with communication. The room is basic but clean. Breakfast is only a croissant and coffee but extra can be ordered for a discounted price. The coffee shop where breakfast was served was very friendly however.
This hotel is very comfortable, with sizeable rooms, some balconies, and it has a great location in walking distance of town-center attractions. On a rainy night, my friends and I also had an excellent dinner here.

Good evening.
Thank you very much for your kind words and we hope to see you again shortly.
Loved Spoleto and loved our stay here. Free onsite parking was a big bonus for us. They also have a restaurant onsite too which was fantastic. Food and service was perfect. Room was a bit small for a family of four but I am not sure if they have bigger ones on offer. Walking to all major landmarks was very easy from this hotel and we would definitely stay here again.

Lied to us in order to not give refund
We missed our flight to Rome and ended up not being able to stay in our room the first night. We kindly asked the third party website we did use (this one) for a refund of that night to which they told us that we would have to ask the hotel (the matter was out of their hands at this point). The front desk person told us that the third party booking site is strict with their refund policy and that they would not be able to issue us a refund. That's interesting...we didn't use that site AND the agent with the site we did use told us otherwise. It was clear that they lied to us in order to keep the amount paid for that night. I understand the policy, but geez, have some understanding for our situation and show some decent customer service. And don't lie...it's just not good practice.
Dei Duchi Hotel is perfectly located to make exploring Spoleto very easy. This town's historic centre has 3 escalators which assist travellers in getting to most parts of the old town and it is fairly hilly so for those that don't want to climb, these escalators (tapis roulants) are really handy and free! The very top of the town has a fortress and a roman aquaduct.
From Spoleto, it is a short drive or train ride to other Umbrian towns like Spello, Assisi, Perugia and a little longer to others like Orvieto (1hour 15). The food in this region is excellent and people are very friendly. I recommend a stay here and it's only about 2 hours away from Rome.

Good morning and thank you very much for your kind review. We hope to see you again sooner.
We wish you a very nice day.
We went to Spoleto for one night to enjoy the November 1 holiday. It was beautiful! The hotel is right outside the city center, right next to a park and path for walking. It's a bit far from the train station so it's best if you have a car. There's a bus but it doesn't run frequently. The hotel was clean, staff was friendly and the included breakfast was delicious!
We just returned from our seventh stay at the Hotel Dei Duchi. It is our home away from home when we travel through Umbria. Spoleto is a delightful town, ideally located for visiting this beautiful region of Italy. The hotel is wonderful and the staff are always welcoming and helpful in every way. As always, we can't wait to go back!
Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Free parking . Lovely, spacious room and bathroom! We loved the location , walking distance to everything. Many nearby restaurants within walking distance. Would highly recommend. Breakfast was decent.
Lobby staff was very helpful in directing me to the parking which was included and 1 block away. My family was late to breakfast, but the waiter was very accommodating. We stored our luggage the following day while my daughter made herself comfortable in the lobby to do her schoolwork while accessing the wifi. Great hotel at a great price! I'd definitely stay here again.
Great hotel in beautiful area, close to everything and easy to find. Parking available!!! Great service, spacious rooms, very clean and well maintained.
Staff was very helpful, breakfast was very good. Will definitively stay here again!!!!!
The Hotel dei Duchi in Spoleto is well located for tourism and has free parking. The hotel is basic modern and is well suited for tour groups. The location is its great advantage. At the edge of the historic center, I Duchi is a good choice if arriving by car.
We were impressed with the hotel staff even before we arrived. Needing to do some laundry and to receive advice on where we could do so in Spoleto, and being unable to find the answers to our questions on the internet, we contacted the staff. We were given excellent directions to a Laundromat. When we arrived we had been given a complementary upgrade by the hotel. We were warmly welcomed and received good service during our stay.
Hotel Dei Duchi has a great location for walking around Spoleto. Our room had a great view and the hotel is located in a beautiful location. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would love to go back.
We stayed one night and it was very enjoyable. Had the recommended meal at dinner which was delicious. Easy to drive to and able to park car at no extra charge.
Perfectly placed for the old city while in transit
As above. Car parking just adequate but very important given the limitations close to the old city. Access could not be better for both arrival and departure and ideal for those in transit in either direction, for example to Rome airports. The presence of tour party travel may compromise some elements for individuals or couples, but the layout is spacious and well designed enough to minimise that.
Very easy access from the blue line road. The hotel is right on the edge of the city with on site free parking. The sites were easily accessed and the restaurants in the area were highly recommended. We ate at Apollinare, which was very charming and reasonably priced for both food and wine.
We would go back, if ever we are near Spoleto.
we were met by luciano who helped with our luggage and then gracioucly changed our room to one with a balcony and beautiful view. i would highly recommend this modern family run hotel.

Perfect location and lovely clean
Perfect location and lovely clean bright and airy place. Good spread for a continental spread but don't get room service, you don't get what you want and you're hungry after it, it's worth getting up for. Would definitely recommend this hotel though. Staff don't have much English so be prepared to make an effort to communicate regardless.

Camere spaziose e letto enorme. Colazione migliorabile secondo me, uova strapazzate non possono mancare in un 4 stelle, cosi' come qualche campana in piu' sul buffet sarebbe gradita. Comunque assolutamente all'altezza .
Ottimo hotel in prossimità del centro storico di Spoleto. Parcheggio interno poco capiente o esterno convenzionato a 5 euro per giorno. Camera ampia e pulita. Colazione varia e abbondante. Hotel da considerare se siete in zona.
