"We really enjoyed our stay at Chamonix! The hotel is beautiful, modern, and offers a great atmosphere for a relaxing getaway. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely consider staying again. The biggest areas for improvement would be staffing and the casino floor. There seemed to be a need for additional staff to keep things running smoothly, and we would have loved to see more gaming tables open and available. Having more options for table games would really enhance the overall casino experience. Chamonix has a lot to offer, and with a few improvements, it could be an even better destination. We look forward to visiting again!"

"The view from the second story deck is the main thing that got us, it is amazing! Unfortunately, I overlooked the fact that all rooms are on the second floor, and that there is no elevator (this is noted in the details on the website) - and that my wife and I (in our 80s) are having difficulties with stairs these days. Seems like only a few years ago that was not an issue, but after one day here, we were feeling distressed, and asked to be released from the remainder of our 5 night reservation. The owner, who was attending the desk, was very sympathetic, agreed to relieve us of any further commitment, and notified Hotels.com of our situation. We received a full refund of the charge for our unused nights. The hotel is as advertised, a pleasant and quaint place to vacation, and if the stairs are not a problem (as they would not have been to us not long ago) you will be very pleased with the Hand Hotel, and the great staff who will do everything possible to help you enjoy your stay."

"Super clean, very functional, wonderfully cozy space in a gorgeous location! Fully fenced backyard was excellent for our dog. Kristen was very responsive to questions leading up to and during our stay. Only potential improvement is maybe some more stable table space? The "TV trays" are great for keeping the room open when table space isn't needed, but were a touch wobbly and my clumsy self was worried about bumping them and sending my dinner/board game to the floor. I'm not sure there is a better answer, but figured I'd mention it in the spirit of "a more perfect space"!"

"Not much time to shower as the water heater doesn't hold much hot water. Relatively private but there will be other vehicles that come and go to the other cabin. Good place and surrounding food and hiking"

"This cabin has a wonderful kitchen in it. The Bride and Groom were able to make a very cute wedding cake the day before the wedding on Pikes Peak. The kitchen was stocked with all the supplies they needed, we thought for sure we would have to make a Walmart run for a spoon or bowl but everything was there. Thank you for allowing us to feel at home very very fair from home. PMClugston"
