"Excellent hotel to stay friendly staff clean rooms service was good as well"

"Charming older resort with friendly and welcoming staff. This resort is in need of some repairs ie. broken soap dispensers, poor landscaping equipment. 3 out of 4 days, there were chainsaws running 7 hours in a row by the pool and guest rooms. Not relaxing whatsoever on a holiday. Paid meals not included were tasty and the live shows engaging and heartfelt. The beach is beautiful for beachcombing and photo ops. But is lacking in a designated area for guests to lounge and sunbathe. We loved the pool surroundings minus the chainsaw noise. "

"It was a brief stay due to the cyclone cancellations. The staff have been extremely accomodating allowing a travelling family to meet us and have breakfast then leave all our suitcases after checkout while we enjoyed some of what Denerau has to offer before moving on to our next accomadation. "Resort is in dire need of renovation, with multiple issues/appliances falling apart etc. The kids don't care though, still loved it. Staff lovely and helpful, but overwhelmed and desperately understaffed by the looks. If price is ok and you have young children, its still a good stay, but would strongly recommend staying away if childless/older children in favour of other options until they sort themselves out."
