We stayed three nights, visiting Jedediah Smith Redwoods on one day, and Crescent City and the Trees of Mystery (Klamath) on the other day. Howonquet Lodge was perfect for us. Dining and breakfast options and portions were ample in the restaurant. We’d stay again if we were in the region.

Great position,great view from room.barely average motel.while quite smart from outside rooms vary greatly.most had garden shed chic and while clean were old old old.i suspect the rooms were quite fashionable in1949.Shower noozle needed disassembly to work barely Ok.so all in all ok,IF you don't pay too much

The manager/ owner was lovely and extremely helpful. The rooms although ‘rustic’ in style were comfortable and had everything needed for a good nights stay. It was also value for money.
