"We loved our 3 nights stay! The whole staff was very friendly and present when needed. We loved our drives with Sarah and Joseph, their knowledge, patience and enthusiasm made the drives extra special. They made great effort to see the animals we wanted to see on each drives. We saw the big 5 from really close, multiple times! We loved the terrace in our lodge facing the river, during breaks we would watch elephants, waterbuck and hippos cross the river. The food was diverse and very good....

"L'endroit est magnifique, à côté d'une rivière,la nature,les bruits des animaux,la tente est bien mais je pense plutôt en été et printemps,en ce moment c'est l'hiver,du coup on a eu un peu froid mais le séjour s'est tout de même bien déroulé... "Tshokwane advertises max 6 per vehicle but on 2 of our 4 game drives we had to use the middle seat despite our objections, whilst other vehicles went out with spare window seats, ie fewer than 6 people. No night time drives, and walking safari is instead of a game drive. We went at end of season and everything was running out; soap, food items, canned drinks. Tents were beautifully clean and well presented."

This safari camp caters mostly for tourists wanting a very basic safari/wildlife experience. The game drives are relatively short, repetitive in their route and unremarkable compared to the upmarket lodges where the guides and trackers will ensure much more exciting...

"The room was a basic motel style room and a little dated, but clean and comfortable. The restaurant has good food options. A suggested improvement would be to close the doors to the pool outside dining area to prevent cigarette/vape fumes in the restaurant. We had a safe and comfortable stay and recommend this hotel."

"The Commodore is a very nice hotel, very close (just a few minutes walk) from the attractions, shops and restaurants of the V&A Waterfront. It is well maintained, exceptionally clean, has great furnishings and tasteful modern decor. The restaurant and food are very good and the staff very polite, friendly, helpful and accommodating. It is not far from the City Centre and is an excellent base from which to explore Table Mountain and the rest of the scenic Cape Peninsula. It has a distinct upmarket ambiance. I have stayed here twice in the last 5 years. Highly recommended!"
