"It seemed the property was not ready for guests. The rooms and shelves were not very clean. The sink leaked and the bath drainage took a long time to drain. The stoves for cooking did not have knobs for turning it on. You could hardly see with the light in the bathroom when we arrived. The sofa was torn and squeaked. Linen & towels did not look fresh & clean (very old)."

"Poor condition! Fell down the stairs no signs slippery when wet, they did not even dry up the staircase in the morning after it rained. Bathroom moldy and shoddy, curtains not even hung up properly, curtains dirty. We were not even warned about load shedding when we arrived so were not prepared ahead of time. False advertising as it says breakfast patio… no such thing!!! "

"The worst service we have ever received from a hotel/Bnb. It was a very hot 32 degree day and the air conditioner was broken in our room. We asked for another room when we we told the bnb was fully occupied which was understandable. We then requested that we get a refund for our accommodation because we couldn’t stay in a room that was so hot. The owner told us we needed to wait for her maintenance guy who was a 2 hour drive away, let alone the amount of time it would take him to repair a broken...

"The lodge is well located in the Hillcrest area, close to the Main Road with it's shops and restaurants. Bev the hostess was very welcoming and seemed prepared to go out of her way to assist her guests. The breakfast in the morning was varied and good. The room, while on the small side, was adequately furnished with a comfortable bed. There were a number of small items which detracted from my stay. "We were kept up all night by noisy neighbors (residents) who had a part next to our bedroom. Although staff tried to help things did not improve. Not wanting to risk this happening again we felt forced to move to a different location, despite having only used 1 of our 5 nights rental. We were not compensated for this in any way and management failed to reach out to us, even though we’ve made at least 5 attempts to contact them. Don’t go there. Location not good either"
