"The overall experience was excellent. The rooms were very clean and had good facilities. My only criticism is the televisions reception was terrible.This does need addressing. Staff were superb. Engaged with guests and were very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. In addition I must say our Sunday roast was excellent both in flavour and price. Totally recommend this hotel"

"Booked this last minute for an overnight stay. Check in was very straightforward and property very clean. We arrived quite late after a day out in York, the pub was quite lively and popular on a Saturday night looked like a nice atmosphere. Room very clean and well appointed. Some noise from downstairs such as doors banging and voices but not excessive and once it was closing time was silent. Shower was hot and steady for both us in the morning and the breakfast cooked to order was excellent with plenty of options. My only small criticism was that it would be nice if they provided conditioner alongside the shampoo shower gel and hand cream in the bathroom, and the mattress was a bit like a bouncy castle which took some getting used to. It would also maybe be a suggestion during the change of seasons to provide a bed throw as the radiator didn’t seem to be on much even when turned up and it was a little chilly overnight at times. Otherwise a great stay and we’d probably book again if visiting family again in the area"
