"The garden is beautiful with a variety of birds and wild life. The spa and gym club is excellent. The staff are great and the hotel is good value.i have stayed several times in recent years and always have a great time. Many thanks to all who make it such a pleasure to return time after time. "The host was wonderful, the house was impeccably tidy, and ours kids felt right at home as soon as moved in - happy kids, happy mum, happy stay."
"The Black dog offers affordable accommodation. An excellent restaurant, friendly bar service and comfy beds. Unfortunately the room wasnt cleaned properly with my bathroom bin full from the previous occupier, bottle tops in the corner and a loo that hadnt been clean with a broken seat.
Its these little things that make a good score."
"A lovely stay to visit family, room was very comfortable, clean and spacious, the village area is so nice to walk around and really makes it feel different to anywhere else. The spa is lovely for a morning swim and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Had a delicious breakfast and cannot fault our stay."
"Very short stay (one night) and very last minute! However, they accommodated and were extremely friendly and welcoming. The room was beautiful - very spacious and a gorgeous bathroom - the best power shower i've ever used!! Also - the bed was SO COMFY. Thank you. "
"The Nest is a great self-contained, first floor, two-room apartment (kitchen-living and bedroom-bathroom). It has been decorated and fitted out with modern and comfortable fixtures and fittings and is warm, quiet and spotlessly clean.
The welcome tray of a few little treats, tea, coffee and milk in the fridge was a nice touch too.
