"We enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were lovely and the staff so friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant. Having easy access to parking was helpful too. It’s also an easy walk to all the local attractions."

"Nice clean room with complimentary teas & coffees in the ground floor kitchen. Lively pub underneath the hotel with bands playing. May be noisy for some but I loved it and couldn't really hear anything in rear facing room"

Hamilton house guest house

"We booked a 1 night stay to be in town close to the ferry terminal which we had to be at by 5.30am - a rather early start. The hotel was very handy for this and we parked in a public car park (advised by the helpful hosts) and then we walked along to the ferry very early in the morning. The hotel was perfect for this and we had a decent (if short!) sleep. The room was fine for this - basic without frills and a comfortable bed. Please do note that the window opened straight onto the main road and can be rather noisy with trucks and cars going past right outside. And some drunken revellers passing by early morning. Not the hotel's fault, it is the price you pay for being handy in the middle of the town!"
