"We greatly enjoyed this property, made all the better by the amazing staff! From the warm welcome by the evening front desk attendant to the creatively decorated toilet paper rolls and fanned towels in our room’s bathroom, we felt clean, comfortable, and safe from the moment of arrival. The breakfast bar was fabulous, with hot cheese omelets, yummy sausage, and scrumptious STRAWBERRY waffles (I’ve never had anything like them before!), the food was hot, tasty, and abundant. Our bed was super comfy and we woke refreshed and happy. While the hot water could have been hotter, everything else was fabulous. I highly recommend this property to anyone needing a comfy stay near independence. MO. Oh - and the Golden Corral is within walking distance for dinner. Overall, fabulous stay! Great job, everyone! "The room was perfect. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was great to have. we were traveling and it was nice to be able to put our cooler stuff in the refrigerator and refreeze our freezer packs in the full size refrigerator/freezer. The breakfast was very good. There was several hot options as well as pastries, cereal, fruit and other things also. This was an awesome stay."

"We were pretty disappointed with this stay. The hotel overall felt very worn and in need of serious updates. The carpet throughout the lobby and breakfast area was dirty and torn in multiple places—it honestly looked like it should have been replaced a long time ago. The lobby windows were also noticeably filthy, as if they hadn’t been cleaned in quite a while. Outside, the parking lot sidewalks were cracked and falling apart, which added to the overall neglected feel of the property. The room surprisingly wasn't as bad as the rest of the hotel. Still needs to be updated though. The bed was pretty hard and not very comfortable. But that could just be preference. That said, the one bright spot was the staff. Every employee we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. They consistently greeted us, checked in on how we were doing, and made us feel welcome, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, despite the great service, the condition of the hotel would keep us from staying here again."
