"Ryokan Sansui is a peaceful retreat with beautiful mountain views, private outdoor onsen rooms, and the most dedicated, attentive and kind staff. We felt completely pampered by their service and hospitality. The meals were traditional omekase using local and seasonal ingredients. The food is clearly made with love, pride, and care. The japanese-style room had a sweeping view of the mountains and comfortable futon beds. We had plenty of space to unpack and do our morning yoga in the room. The robes are high quality. The room and the hotel in general are very quiet and peaceful. It is easy to get to the ryokan from the bus stop, just a 2-3 minute walk on the main road."

"Great location, less than a 10-minute walk from Takayama Station. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hotel has two public onsens, which were wonderful after a day of sightseeing.
