The area of #Gion in #Kyoto is the traditional, cultural pulse of #Japan (also home to many #cherryblossoms in the #spring). I took this photo around 8:20 AM in early April when there were few people on the streets (an uncommon scene during peak cherry blossom season in Kyoto.) I noticed that in Japan, folks don't start their day until later (after 8:30 AM), unlike in Europe where if you're not at an attraction prior to 5AM, there are going to be a billion other people in your shot.
