"Miyako hotel is on the south side of Kyoto station. The challenge is navigating Kyoto station to the SW side that has a crosswalk right to the hotel. Being so close to Kyoto station, transport to sights and use of trains is super easy. Dining options were enormous din the station.
The hotel has a huge number of rooms and hosts lots and lots of tour groups. But the elevators were never overcrowded or late for us.
The room was small as is standard in Japan but efficient like that on a cruise shop but larger. The bed was firm like a futon. The room was quiet even though it was so close to the station. You could barely hear the train rolling even though we had perhaps the closest room to the tracks. Trains don’t blow horns here, it would be unJapanese to do so. "
