One of the highlights is the hotel’s famous Palmiers (蝴蝶酥) — as a guest, you can conveniently order it via a QR code in your room without having to queue, which is a great touch. The hotel itself has a slightly old-fashioned style, and there is a faint aged scent, but it is well maintained and equipped with thoughtful features such as a heated toilet seat, which adds to the comfort. Overall, it is a pleasant and convenient place to stay, and I would definitely return on my next visit."

"This is a classic-style hotel—not modern, but very well maintained and not run-down. The location is very convenient, just one block away from Nanjing Street, with a convenience store right across the street. The room was clean, and the staff were very helpful. I especially appreciated the bathtub and the many elevators, so there was no long wait to go up to the room or down to the lobby. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it."

"This hotel was worth the money, the staff were so lovely and helped me any time I didn't know how to navigate the city. The breakfast had both western and Chinese foods to try. The room was spacious. The only thing I'd say is that the bathroom needs an update to match with the rest of the hotel. "

"Breakfast was terrible. Nothing was good. Room was big and spacious. But we couldn’t adjust the temperature and we were freezing. Housekeeping was so so. Water wasn’t topped up unless you call and ask for it. Location wise was good as it’s close to major shopping areas with plenty of nice eateries and restaurants. "

"Loved our stay at the Shangri-La Pudong. Easy to get to from the airport. Lots of shopping and train choices. Friendly staff and service always excellent. Stayed in a Club Room this time and loved the staff and the amenities. Special thanks to AnnaLisa in the Club Lounge for exceptional service! Also managed to get to the spa/pool area and was v impressed. Would love to return!"
