"Gorgeous traditional cottage with absolutely everything you need and lovely welcome gift of fresh eggs from Mairi who couldn't have been more helpful throughout our stay (arrived during storm Amy). Island was wet and windy but didn't stop us visiting everything, cottage was in an ideal location for so many things of interest and local shop nearby. Co-op in Stornoway was also the best one we've ever been to! We all had a brilliant time in a fab wee cottage."

The accommodation itself was spotless, comfortable and beautifully presented with everything we could possibly need.Unfortunately, we didn’t get to enjoy our stay fully as we had to leave the island earlier than planned due to Storm Amy and ferry cancellations. It was such a shame to have to cut our visit short but we’re very grateful for the warm hospitality and care shown throughout.Hoping to return again under calmer skies.Sarah"

"Riverview Cottage is a well maintained, cozy, and well-equipped cottage. We spent a week here and couldn’t have been more pleased with the accommodations. The kitchen was very well-equipped. The separate washer and dryer made it easy to catch up with the laundry after a bit of traveling. Located 5 minutes from the Calanais Standing Stones, the cottage is conveniently located to other attractions on the west coast of Harris. While we would recommend doing any major provisioning in Stornoway, the Carloway Community store is only about an 8 minute drive away should you run out of milk or bread. Stornoway itself is an easy 30 minute drive away. We would definitely consider staying at this property again if we returned to Lewis & Harris. "
